Who wins this one at 175 pounds ?

Quawi was a pressure fighter, good defense and good power.

Jones blinding speed, athletic ability and powerful left hook.

Do you think Quawi breaks him down or Roy Jones outboxes him?

Would be brilliant if Jones used his speed he could win .if he slowed down he would be destroyed.

Jones wasn't as elusive at 175 like he was at 160 or 168. If Louie DelValle knocks him down at that weight, Dwight would trouble him even more so. Even though Roy blew it against Griffin in the 1st bout because it seemed he was about to stop Montell, MG had given Roy a lot of problems until that round. I like Dwight by ko in this one.

Dwight by KO in the later rounds.Jones would be ahead on points though.

Dwight's chin, power, relentness and defense are a tough combination for Roy.Dwight will catch him with a solid shot at one time and Jones chin probably would not hold up.

I don't know. Dwight looked great against guys who couldn't move like Eddie Davis, Jerry Martin, Mike Rossman, a slightly past it James Scott and a fading Saad.

But, look at the first few rounds of the first Saad fight. Dwight looks awkward when Saad used lateral movement. And Saad was not anywhere near as fluid as Jones. Also, Dwight had problems when Spinks utilized movement.

Jones could get caught, but Dwight was more of a cumulative puncher than a one shot guy. I don't think Jones would get hit enough to get hurt.

Jones at this best at 175 was still very slick, with very good reflexes and movement.

I don't think Dwight would catch up to him.

Interesting but I believe Quawi would be able to position Jones to the ropes just as Griffin did.To me Jones was more mobile at SMW.Spinks was taller and had an educated jab.

Interesting. I could see Roy in a competitive decision. I could also see a Dwight KO.

Roy by decision. Qawi didn’t have the power to beat Roy. Love his style but he was limited. This would be an interesting fun fight to watch

A very good fight. Roy never saw anything at 175 like Qwai, not even close. Over 15, the distance Qwai fought I like Qwai. To me Jones was always at his best from 160 to 168.

Roy wins rather easy. Even if Roy decides to lay on the ropes he did some of his best work there. I could see Roy hurting Qawi with his flurries off the ropes.

If Roy fights smart, he wins. If he remains too stationary, Qawi breaks him down eventually.

Lou del Valle was a southpaw and a long time sparring partner of Jones.
They knew each other very well.

Not sure I would use that KD as evidence.

Also Jones started slipping slowly a few years before he lost so I don't support your thesis of Jones being hittable at 175 before 2000-2001.

Qawi would be a difficult style for him like montell Griffin.
Short but crafty. Qawi had a great jab and was tough as nails.

    Jones by close decisiom
