There have been a lot of threads about the greatest win in boxing history. In a bit of a twist, what would you guys are some of the best back-to-back wins ever (consecutive wins)? I'd nominate a few: Azumah Nelson: TKO 6 JJ Leija, TKO 5 Gabe Ruelas (this was big because Nelson was quite advanced in age) Sergio Martinez: W 12 Kelly Pavlik, KO 2 Paul Williams Manny P.: KO 2 Ricky Hatton, TKO 12 Miguel Cotto Glen Johnson: KO 9 Roy Jones Jr., W 12 Antonio Tarver Oscar De La Hoya: TKO 6 Genaro Hernandez, KO 2 Rafael Ruelas Bob Foster: KO 4 Mike Quarry, KO 14 Chris Finnegan (or KO 2 Vincente Rondon) Plenty of others I'm sure. I'd love to hear other contenders in this category
Bob Fitzsimmons ko's over Sharkey and Ruhlin in the space of two weeks. You can also pick loads of candidates from Harry Greb's record.
Henry Armstrong UD 15 Barney Ross to win the World Welterweight title. 3 months later... Henry Armstrong SD 15 Lou Ambers to win the World Lightweight title. 3 months later again... Henry Armstrong UD15 Ceferino Garcia over the future world middleweight champion. No soft touches for Armstrong.

Its pretty hard to argue against KOing Mike Tyson then Vitali Klitschko to finish out your career, like Lewis done

A lot of good examples already given. James Toney had a pretty exceptional year in 1991. The quality of some of his wins / performances didn't necessarily become apparent until a little later, but he outscored an unbeaten Merqui Sosa as the betting underdog in January, stopped Nunn for the IBF 160 lb belt in May, outscored Reggie Johnson just six weeks later, stopped Dell'Aquila in October and then in December boxed a high-quality draw (which most, me included, felt he won) against a still very good McCallum. Of course, he stopped Nunn while behind on the cards, the Johnson fight was very close and Reggie still had his best years and performances ahead of him, so at the time people didn't necessarily see it as a great win, and naturally some might have felt that McCallum had little left by 1991, which he would go on to disprove in the coming years - so it's a run of fights which looks better with the passing of time. But my modern(ish) standards, pretty impressive.
For one not mentioned, Ketchel beating Joe Thomas, Mike Twin Sullivan, Jack Twin Sullivan, Billy Papke and Hugo Kelly was a pretty insane run. Jack Twin Sullivan then Billy Papke after is a decent canidate.
Carlos Ortiz had a few brilliant runs himself -Doug Vailant, Paolo Rosi, Joe Brown -Len Matthews, Kenny Lane, Battling Torres, Duilio Loi -Johnny Bizzaro, Sugar Ramos, Flash Elorde, Sugar Ramos, Ismael Laguna
Braddock UD John Henry Lewis (LHW champ, top 100 p4p fighter) UD Art Lasky (ranked heavyweight contender) UD Max Baer (heavyweight champ)
Sumbu Kalambay with ........ Herol Graham (prime, undefeated, #1 contender), Iran Barkley (prime contender, for vacant WBA title), Mike McCallum (prime, undefeated) ..... was a decent 3-fight run at middleweight
Ingemar Johansson with .... KO1 Eddie Machen (#1 contender, undefeated) KO3 Floyd Patterson (world champion, 35-1)
