No, Floyd fought him years ago and knew he could win or he would not have fought him. He also got him down 2 pounds. Canelo is a much better fighter now than he was then. Much better. Although it is true that Canelo is a guy who likes to be in range of guys, and someone who boxes him might still give him trouble. But he would knock Floyd out now or beat him up for 12 rounds.

This one time Floyd invited Canelo to his house. When Canelo arrived and walked in to Floyd house, he proclaimed, "ESTA ES LA CASA DE MI PADRE!"

Floyd is retired. He's not even past prime, he is no longer a boxer. Floyd absolutely dominated Canelo, but again............I can't stress this enough, he's retired. Stop with this "what Floyd would do now crap". Floyd would lose to everyone in the MW divisions rankings, probably 9 out of 10 JMWs and all the top WWs at this point.

Stop pretending like Canelo was a 23 year old child. He had over 40 fights and had defended his world title more than five times.

He was utterly lost and completely undressed in there. Im genuinely surprised Mexicans came back to support him after that farce.

I can certainly see Mayweather tapping that ass again.

I think Floyd was 36 when he defeated Canelo and took his title. All we really need to say is and acknowledge how great Floyd is. An old Floyd by taking Canelo to school basically improved Canelo as a fighter.

    Don't be a dick..

He was a boy back then. Learning his trade... 22! Like all craft's you get better with experience.. Austin Trout can't prepare u for Floyd!

& why do Floyd fans act like fighter's don't evolve & improve? Look at Bhop early on, he wasn't the same fighter we came to know.. Canelo didn't have much amateur experience & the Canelo that FMJ fought wasn't a MW & hadn't fought the likes of GGG, Cotto, Floyd, Jacobs, Lara, Chavez etc so big disparity there... You're not really in your physical prime at 22 & nor have you fully developed your Ring IQ at that age! A lot can be inherent & natural yes but u still need the big names & bright lights to grow as a fighter..

Even Hagler took a couple of early losses. Floyd is an old retiree now.. & cinnamon beef would abuse him at 160 today!

Why do people like you act as if PBF was prime he was 36 and in his 5th weight class a weight he's never been good at. PBF is the only fighter in boxing history who was prime for every fight and all of his opponents have excuses, if we let people like you tell it. Canelo had 40 fights and beat Trout a guy who had just beat Cotto. Trout was elite at 154 and so was Canelo. PBF is just a stylistic nightmare for Canelo and if this Canelo could fight the same PBF he lost to he would still struggle against him and lose to him.

Yep and the haters/Canelo apologists also seem to forget that 6 months after Floyd schooled Canelo he went life and death with Maidana a 140lbs contender who Floyd would have toyed with in his prime, it was clear as day from that fight Floyd's legs had weakened and he couldn't move like he used to, that's the version of Floyd who schooled Canelo !

Canelo looked like he went for a jog in the post fight interview. Wasn't what I would call a whooping. More of a schooling which is exactly what should happen to a young fighter of Canelo's caliber when he faces a guy like Floyd.
