Would Canelo Alvarez, Danny Jacobs, and GGG be able to compete with the Fabulous 4 from the 80’s?

    No, Canelo`s body is far better filled in at 160 than Duran`s was, he`s ripped whereas Duran looked a bit soft compared to his leaner smaller prime, this effected his hand speed.

    He`d do better than finish each fight, Jacobs would miss far more shots than Hagler did and Canelo is yet to stop a middleweight even though he stoppe the bigger Feilding who was completely inept compared to Duran who lasted 15 rounds v Hagler.

    A more compelling case for Duran, opposed to him losing to one of the best middleweights of all time, would be that he got KOed in two rounds by one of the best punchers of all time. He never showed the consistency as a middleweight to consider going 3-0 against these 3

    I think Jacobs is better than Davey Moore was. Moore had 11 fights when he fought Duran. He was a bit overrated obviously. Jacobs is more experienced and all around a much more advanced fighter.

    Canelo was just better. A better counterpuncher and a better fighter. Jacobs is just below GGG and Canelo. But I never thought much of Davey Moore.

    Compete? Absolutely. win? I don’t think so, none of them have the skills imo of any of the fan 4, Canelo gets hit too and his willingness to trade in the pocket would be his downfall, Jacobs could potentially give fits to Duran , but if Canelo can school Jacobs then Duran can, and Ggg imo would be the most trouble for them because of his unusual style and granite chin, but the 4 are all good enough to figure him out

    You know, if Roberto can go 15 with Hagler , and only lose by 2 or 3 points, he could beat GGG. agreed. Canelo? if he fights inside with a motivated Duran he wouldn't stay there long . Honestly though I have a hard time evaluating Canelo.

    Resumes have everything to do with everything in fantasy fights.. what are you new? what the hell you think a big part of fantasy matchups are … experience, fighting other ATG'S, fighting these greats who had different styles. Cuevas, Benítez, Duran, SRL, Hagler ..

    Moore`s head movement was better than Jacobs is, he moved his head off the center line constantly before Duran punched and he was more agressive than Jacobs is, when Danny pressed Canelo he had more success, that`s how Moore tried to fight Duran, Roberto would have done the same thing to Jacobs except Danny is bigger and stronger that`s why he gave Canelo problems late on, he couldn`t keep him off, Duran was better than Canelo is under pressure and he can fight at a higher pace, look at the first fight with Leonard, no way could Canelo match that workrate, that`s what made this fight closer that it should have been.

    Duran (Hagler and Moore versions) beats Canelo up badly.Canelo would never be the same after that fight

    Canelo is a full fledged middleweight .. at 160 he beats Leonard, Duran and Hearns ... (He'd crush Mayweather too at this weight) .. Hagler, no .. In war Marvin would bust him up .. Hagler, a natural 160 pounder was better.
