What a "casual" remark. Ward wasn't even #1 when he retired. He didn't beat Kovalev either time legitimately. Roman Gonzalez was still technically undefeated, and Lomachenko was lighting people up. Struggling and fouling your way to controversial decisions in your second weight class does not make you p4p anything.

Same **** goes for Canelo. If he'd legitimately beat everyone he got decisions over and didn't get popped for cheating then maybe he'd be up there. But he lost at least four more times than his record shows. He does not deserve these accolades. Anybody who says he does hasn't been paying attention at all.

If you had Loma ahead of Ward at the time of his retirement sorry but your opinion is null and void. Ward destroyed Kovalev second time round. Its disturbing how dishonest people can be with themselves.

So suddenly judges scorecards are gospel? Canelo lost less rounds and wasn’t knocked on his ass.

His resume is Ward like but he's up against Crawford,Lomo and Usyk who may not have the same resume but they do look head n shoulders above their division's.
This isn't Canelos fault but both his fights against Golovkin are seen as controversial and to put him no1 I just wanna see him be more clinical wether that's by knockout or a one sided points win.

P4p 1s are typically very dominant, the one standout fighter or maybe 2-3. Canelo has close fights with Lara, trout, a small past it cotto, golovkin and absolutely got embarrassed by a floyd, didn’t even land 1 meaningful shot.

Not for me personally. I scored the GGG fights against him and I think someone like Loma is a 'better' fighter than Canelo. But if you're going on that and you scored the G fights for Canelo (or are just going by the official scores) then I won't argue too hard against it. Golovkin is the best win in boxing right now

So you laugh at some one for having him in their top 5 then say you have him 6th?!

Top 3 p4p in my opinion

Yes because all of those 5 are clearly in front of him. #6 is his #1 in reality. He's probably more #7 or #8 than #6.

How can you lose 2 out of your last 4 fights, and then claim number 1 p4p?

You arguably should at the maximum be in the lower half of the top 10 assuming who you lost to twice is in the top 3.

Canelo has the best record if we limit ourselves to the official prize list.

But in fact his two fights against GGG are very controversial as well as his victories against Trout and Lara.
