Perfect post honestly . We know what Breazeale is capable of , I'm still not 100% on what Ruiz is capable of making it a dangerous unknown . The fact he went the distance with Parker and people are torn between outcomes tells me he is no pushover .

Yes but AJ also exposed Breazale already.

Out of interest when did Breazeale become good. The only time he stepped up to world level he got destroyed by a 16 fight novice..

I see him becoming the next urban legend like Ortiz has become on this forum.

I don't think people are saying he's on Ortiz's level, or even avoided it's just he isn't as bad as it seemed when Joshua beat him. The win over Ugonoh and then Molina showed he wasn't as terrible as it seemed and while that's not exactly a good resume it's still better than Schwarz's and Ruiz's.

Stylistically I think he could give Wilder problems but I don't expect him to win but he's a dangerous underdog.

I'm not sure what OP is so shocked or confused about?
This is just another fight where Wilder faces someone OUTSIDE of top 10.

Breazeale is not ranked top 10 by BoxRec, ESPN or The Ring.

We've seen this movie too many times.

    Doublechode.

Breazeale has already been smashed by AJ, didn't even win a round. Ruiz has only lost to Parker via very close points.

Fury that beat Klitschko maybe better than Povetkin, not the one Wilder lost to.

Ortiz - the man who has beat no one and done nothing with his career? Nope. Parker won a belt.

Ruiz isn't capable of much against Joshua, I think he'll get hurt early ,survive a few rounds and be lucky to see after the 6th . Still a better fight as it will be briefly more competive then Miller but Ruiz will force a K.O on himself faster bc he only has one motion and that's go forward. Miller had better range of mobility .

Ruiz is capable of making difficult fights for everyone else bc no one else is a aggressive 6'6 240 plus fast counter puncher ..that's SEEMS to be a big problem that ppl cant add that up and hey put Ruiz/Breazeale in with how Wilder is going to do which is comedy, one would think they would know Wilder struggles badly so far and Joshua doesn't against top tier guys and Wilder has only fought two and lost one.

Joshua is never pushed back and waiting on a K.O while losing every round. He takes control and ends fights sooner then later if he feels the opponent is posing risk ,Wilder doesn't have that skill options.

People are going to be in for a real reality check when both fight.

Ruiz is going to look like a guy from the crowd and Breazeale is going to look like a guy wilder is very cautious of, as hes nearly getting knocked out with shots that are just missing him as he evades and keeps out of range , all Breazeale has to do is land clean once !

The fact that Breazeale would be Wilder's SECOND BEST EVER WIN says it all really.

Breazeale actually beat some contenders and fringe contenders.
His resume is vastly underrated and quite good for someone so pedestrian.

Breazeale resume is better than Ruiz. A match up between the 2 would be nice and probably the type of match up we should be seeing as title eliminator. The fact that these guys are fighting for belts is disappointing.

Kayabel beat Chisora. Who has beat several fringe top 10 HW's himself. Hrgovic beat Mansour, who has a body of work against top 20 HWs, usually putting on good fights and sometimes winning. Those wins put them head and shoulders over Ruiz, who doesn't have a single win remotely at that level.
