It's ridiculous how far overboard the Planks fans have gone. Based on what? One decent win against a washed up groves?
No way this will happen....Canelo will have a rehydration clause that Smith has no chance of sticking to... I heard a while ago Smith can only make the weight once or twice a year which is why he rarely fights...He made George Groves look smalll I want to see Canelo destroy Andrade personally
"A good big guy always beats a good little guy" Does he? Usually I'd say yes... I think canelo has the beating of smith, despite his size disadvantage
Thread about Smith v Canelo !!! Meanwhile...in the real world.....we wait for an announcement as to which washed up has been or never was the big lug is actually gonna face next. Cos believe me it ain't gonna be anyone special that's for sure!
Not 100% decided on how good Smith is. I know he's good but exactly where he fits in the order of things I'm not sure. He's huge, which gives him obvious advantages over mere human supermids. He seems pretty tough, resilient, decent fundamentals, probably less than average speed but good patience and killer instincts when the time arises. But he also strikes me as someone who can fight to the level of the opposition. Put him in front of a worldy and you'll get a good performance, but he's also fought average fights against average fighters and doesn't seem to be a huge improviser in the ring. Curiously I rate the 2013-15 Groves higher than I rate the Smith of today, and I think that George carries more innate talent, despite the battering Smith laid at him last year and the H2H advantages he'd likely always benefit from. As for Smith Canelo - I just don't know. I can't split it in my head. Smith is no Rocky Fielding (in fact he himself battered Fielding senseless in one round 4 years ago) and has a significant size advantage but Canelo has some real deal skills, experience and judges on his side. In the US I think Canelo forces a win either by late stoppage or judge-assisted cards. IN the UK I'd give it 50/50.
I’ve been told this is 100%. They were looking at September but I think that will be Canelo vs Andrade to unify the division first then come next May they’ll hopefully fight at Anfield or Wembley.
I would have thought with how much DAZN were paying Canelo that they would be demanding the GGG trilogy.
Canelo would have an awful lot of torso to throw at wouldn’t he. He works the body brilliantly. I’d love to see this fight.
Yeah body shots would really start to bite. I don't like Canelo and can't wait 'til he gets KTFO but he IS elite, no question
I like Callum len he seems a nice lad aswell. The groves win was impressive in the manner he beat him up but groves was semi retired coming off a serious shoulder injury. His resume is wafer thin for a guy Who's been pro since 2012.Some boxing channels even have him in and around top ten p4p Which is ludicrous imo.Josh taylor has a better resume imo after 15 fights and is also a world champion with a chance to be unified next. He's only been pro for 4 years. Not hating on callum just Some perspective.
I'm a fan 2 scissors he's likeable but he needs to get a move on now!Tired of all the talk of HUGE fights tbh..get them made.
