These are not little guys. Hes tossing around Lightheavyweights with ease. Like they are little Featherweights. He just goes in there and its immediately apparent that he is just unbelievably strong. Shocking strength.
He used to do it as an amateur, I’d always look out for him in tournaments because I knew I’d see a beast just walking through his opponents. He got more stoppages as an amateur than anyone I have ever seen. He could be outboxed at times but he was always just so relentless and so much stronger than his opponents, he must have been terrifying to fight. It’s a shame we haven’t seen more of him as a pro. Lomachenko and Beterbiev were the two amateurs who I knew would dominate when they turned pro.
when it Comes to offense, he is the real deal. kinda reminds me of kostya zyzu …..just a brutal smashing machine. but his defense and chin could be the chink in the armor. he is hittable and he can be hurt and dropped. then again,(with the exception of bivol) so can every one of the elite at 175!!
Yeah, the dude even looks like a beast. Had this been the year 1019 A.D. you know you’d see Beterbiev in the colosseum caving mens’ faces in with a war hammer.
I had John Scully on last week to talk about Beterbiev since he was in his corner. He said that Artur has worked with a 70+-year-old Polish strength and conditioning coach for many years. John told me this old Polish guy is incredibly fit for a man his age.
