https://www.express.co.uk/sport/box...er-Tyson-Fury-Canelo-Alvarez-Gennady-Golovkin Cannot say I'm surprised at this , whether or not he actually does this tho ..... , also ain't he got a 5 fight contract with EPSN ? Thoughts everyone ?
If true (which it likely isn't, how many times has he retired now?) just call it quits now. He's got Schwartz next thats one, Wilder seems occupied with either Ortiz/Kownacki or maybe Joshua if we can dream. He either fights no one over 3 or he gets the Joshua and Wilder fights which may leave the Heavyweight landscape in chaos should he win and retire.
Fury is the biggest liar in boxing, bar none. From giving his money away to wanting to drive his car into a bridge, it's all lies. This is another cry to shamelessly promote his woeful fight against Schwarz.
Hey! He said a few months back that he wanted to fight 2 or 3 times per year for 10 years and retire with the record number of world title defences or something like that...
He has a contract to honour. They will sue him if he breaches it. Unless he gets injured and is forced to retire.
The context isn’t considered in that article. The quote is lifted from this interview where he was incredibly grumpy and clearly didn't want to be taking part. The Express (who, to non-British posters, are one of the least reliable papers in the UK) have twisted the quote. He's talking about his plans for the rest of 2019 - when asked about his fight dates "Yep. I'm going to be very active this year. 3 fights and i'm going to be gone." Strange choice of words admittedly, but when you watch the entire interview it's not quite how the paper have written it.
Schwartz, somebody else then a big one and retire, sounds good. Lets hope the third one is him bamboozling Joshua
He is just looking for some attention... same with alot of other outlandish statements he makes. I take everything fury says with a fist full of salt to be honest.
About as much chance of winning the lottery. Fury has locked himself into ESPN that I can’t see that making any financial sense to make. ESPN will want that fight in US. Both guys are brits and AJs payday is likely to be in excess of £35-50m as that’s what he would make for it being in the UK. It surely doesn’t make any financial sense to make that fight for two Brit’s in the US
He’s bipolar one day he probably wakes up and thinks **** this boxing ****, next day oh I want to box another 10 years and be greatest of all time.
