Seem's to be a weight bully, but I think he genuinely has outgrown MW these days. How does he fare against Smith?
Smith would knock him out with ease. 6 rounds maximum. Smith is the next big thing and will dominate at super-middleweight and I also have him beating all the light-heavies too. And that's saying something because the light-heavies are stacked with talent. The way he dispatched of George Groves like nobody else's business was amazing stuff and has stuck in my mind since. Nobody has battered George the way he did. Interested to see Jacobs vs Eubank Jr, that's a more competitive one because Eubank has shown little bits of improvement. And he beat James DeGale. Yes DeGale was clearly finished after the Badou Jack fight, but it's still James DeGale at the end of the day so you have to give him some credit.
Smith was hugely impressive with the Groves win, but can he continue to make weight over the next few years? He really has to boil down to make the weight.
Jacobs can get a belt at 168 If he improves his straight punches. He jabs didn't have any pop on the weekend. Could be b/c he wasn't prepared to stand still enough to put anything on them. I don't think he fought like a traditional weight bully at MW . His size seemed more to help him absorb punches so it would be interesting to see if he would cope with Ramirez, Benevidez and Smith. I think he should beat Plant, Uzkategai, Eubank Jnr and Truax.
Yeah there is that. I think personally that Smith should smash Canelo to pieces and then move up to light-heavy for some real challenges. He's too good for all the super-middles currently I'd say, levels above the lot of them.
I’d love to see Jacobs - Eubank Jr. I’m not too sure if he can beat any of the champions , assuming benavidez gets the WBC back but he can give us some good fights.
