Artur is freakishly strong for a guy his size.

He let Makhmudov win and Makhmudov is 260lbs of immensely strong, athletic and powerful beast.

That guy lifted his elbow off the table. I'm not sure it's allowed (I guess it's a foul). Anyway, it makes it so much easier.

I'm sure it's against the rules - 260lbs of brute strength beast had to cheat to beat little Artur

He has NO DEFENSE and NOT the chin needed for such weak and sloppy defense

Soon as he fights any competent lhw championship caliber fighter he's a KO in waiting.

    Mark my words

This is sick and I love it.
I'm praying he can out heat his chin when that time comes, it's definitely coming

Yeah, I kinda agree. He's been dropped a couple of times and I certainly thought Hot Rod hurt him a little at one point. Not quite a Kudryashov level of glass canon but I certainly don't think he has the greatest punch resistance. He isn't easy to find either

The champs at 175: Kovalev, Beterbiev, Gvodyz, Bivol

Unfortunately for these rooskies the contenders and overall rankings for their belts just suck.

    They need to start consolidating.

Yeah I thought so. Contrary to what many think, I'm not so sure Artur is that big a LHW either. He's very muscular but his frame doesn't look that big too me.

I would say he can be dropped but I don't think I have ever seen him seriously hurt. I think he has so much confidence in his abilities that he is off balance at times when going after his opponent.

yes he did, that would be a dq or a re start blatantly anywhere. Both of them with their elbows on the table and I think Beterbiev wins, he made it hard still with the geezer cheating, truly on his own for core strength, p4p strongest fighter in boxing by a country mile, a freak

    Re. Artur's chin.

He was legitimately dropped by Callum Johnson but Johnson is a massive puncher and his hooks have got serious weight behind them

Monaghan has fought and sparred many big punchers, including Beterbiev, and this is what he had to say about Johnson's power

Listen to the sound of those hooks of his

And other KD against Jeff Page Jr. was a balance issue IMO where Artur had been shoved off balance by Page who followed up immediately with a sneaky shot when Artur's feet were out of position and his weight wasn't distributed evenly.

Kovalev has been stopped and dropped numerous times

Gvozdyk has been dropped officially x 1 and unofficially x 2

Marcus Browne was dropped against Hot Rod, hurt badly by him on 1 or 2 other occasions, and would've been KTFO if the ref didn't allow him to octopus grab Hot Rod to death all night. Browne was also dropped by Lenin Castillo and Browne is a huge LHW, coming it as high as 192

Alvarez was KO'd in the amateurs and Prieto hurt him numerous times in their fight, including badly in round 6

Callum Johnson has been dropped x 2 and stopped

Badou Jack has been KO'd in a round and dropped numerous times

Chilemba has been dropped x 3

Sullivan Barrera has been knocked out by Bivol and dropped about 7 or 8 times IIRC

Bivol has never been down but was hurt by Joe Smith Jr right on the bell

Joe Smith Jr. has never been down AFAIA but was hurt by Bivol

And as said, Eledier Alvarez is the only other top LHW who hasn't been down as a pro but he has been badly hurt.

Even Pascal who is titanium-jawed has been badly hurt, dropped x 1 and stopped

Artur's biggest flaw is he's too easy to hit and he invariably takes shots flush when he does get hit. Johnson and Hot Rod are both low risk reward guys and the former is a savage puncher and Hot Rod has scored 13 first round KOs.

LHW is full of killers and some of the biggest punchers in all of boxing and Artur, Kovalev, Johnson, and Joe Smith all carry seriously heavy digs and Gvozdyk, Hot Rod, Browne, Alvarez, Bivol, Buatsi, and Yarde can all punch to varying degrees.
