Pummel? really? Watch the fight again for God's sake! Canelo's was punching air the last 6 rounds, while getting pummeled in the 8th,10th and 11th rounds.
I watched the fight enough times to tell you that Golovkin was stiffed out like a tree in the first round of both fights. He was bullied in the rematch, exchanged with and gotten the better out of most of the time. Where was his murderous punching power?. Where was his Tyson/Liston/Shavers/Foreman all in one-package aggression?. None of the hyped up junk based on fighting bums was displayed in this fight because he was facing someone that could actually fight back for a change. The first fight was a justifiable draw. Both of them looked terrible and highly unimpressive. Golovkin was stiffed out throughout that entire first fight and understandably so, this was the first time he headlines an actual major event/PPV. It took him 37 bums, countless social media barking and straight up begging to score the payday.
No, YOU were talking about attendance. By crowd I clearly mean an actual massive audience. Do you think these guys make serious money from attendance?. Do you know how many tickets were given out for free?. If you think fighters make serious money from attendance, then I'm hardly surprised you are a Golovkin fan. Better yet, if attendance was keeping him relevant money-wise, he would have continued to explode into arenas as a 100/1 favorite against bums forever.
Hahaha You said the big crowd froze him up I responded that he had fought in front of big crowds before Then you brought up PPVs. I never once talked about money
Canelo by clear UD if it happens again. He's getting better each fight and GGG hasn't been prime for a good while now
You don't seem to understand the definition of a big crowd. Let me give you an example, do you think the crowd that Mayweather would attract in a fight similar to the crowd Crawford would attract?. A real crowd are fans throughout the entire world tuning in with media personnels from 80%+ of television broadcasts, celebrities, athletes, politicians...etc all tuning in either from home or live among the audience. 20,000 people buying tickets ranging from $50 to $600 on a failed PPV event isn't a real crowd. Mayweather was also somewhat stiffed out in the first few rounds when he faced De La Hoya considering the insane amount of attention that surrounded this event for the first time in his career. Alvarez already experienced that in 2013 when he fought Mayweather. It's events like these that make or break rising stars. Nothing new here if you followed the sport long enough.
