Right, but it's also your opinion (based on subjective perception) that Wlad's reflexes had not deteriorated at all.

Demarco won't quit, it's fairly surreal. I could have sworn he was done after his recent skid...

Agreed fighters continue on through worse damage than rotator cuff injuries broken hands, jaws, not that a rota-tor cuff tear isn't painful it is I have 2 torn ones right now but they are more tolerable than most broken bones and I have had those as well.....I had a friend in a pro fight whose best punch was the left hook and a decent jab he tore his left rotator cuffs 2 of the 4 and his shoulder came a little out of joint he could not lift his arm so I was going to stop it...he asked me to let him fight he threw no less than 50 rights hands per round and won the fight had he been unable to defend himself I would have stopped it no matter what but he toughed it out got his shoulder fixed and continued on after rehab......being a champion has to mean more than a few rounds of pain...isn't this the same reason many jumped on other fighters? quitting when the going got tough? and isn't that why we think so highly of Marciano? he never quit even when he was taking a shellacking?

Mosley smashing Margarito to bits. People thought Shane was done and hardly anyone picked Shane to win.

Nate Campbell-Kid Diamond (Diamond was being groomed for network stardom but was destroyed by Nate)

Danny Romero-Willy Salazar (An absolute shocker of an upset where the Ring magazine appointed future mega star was stopped and suffered an injury in a keep busy fight against a journeyman opponent)

Maybe now with hindsight and the passing of time, the following upsets might not have the same impact with the current generation but I thought these were quite big memorable upsets at the time that they occurred.

    Marlon Starling KO11 Mark Breland
    Sumbu Kalambay W12 Mike McCallum
Jose Luis Ramirez KO4 Edwin Rosario
Jim Watt W15 Howard Davis Jr

Was Salazar any good...? I see he went on quite a skid and retired a while after the Romero bout.

Did he just fight a great fight against Romero, did Romero **** the bed, was it a fluke...?

Monroe is only an upset in hindsight. I don’t know what the odds were on the fight if there were any as I was young....but I remember expecting to Monroe to win (admittedly he is my favorite boxer), he was older and more experienced. Both had recently lost to Watts. I am not sure if this was seen as an upset at the time...but at the time I was more into the Philly fight scene than boxing as a whole.
