Was they wanted him to fight Tyson Fury as a final eliminator. Neither side would have wanted that I think, team Whyte haven’t agreed to it and want Rivas as the final eliminator.
Seems like they're doing everything in their power not to have Whyte as Wilder's mandatory and hope they can stall long enough until he loses or rematches Joshua (same thing).
Wilder Bodyguard council in action attempting to delay Wilder getting beaten by Whyte for as long as they can.
Hopefully the bomb squad get involved, and put a stop to this Rivas and Whyte nonsense. Grandpa Ortiz and Kownacki have both been promised thier world title shots, against 2 opponents set to be announced!
Has anyone figured it out yet? The Wilder protection squad in action trying to defend Wilder from Whyte. He only wants the fat, chinny opponents and the WBC knows that Fury wouldn't take the Whyte fight, and if he did he would dominate Whyte. In other words, the WBC are saying this just to bide some time to shut the Wilder opposition up. This shows that the WBC are more scared of Whyte than they are of Fury. Why though, how does that make sense? Because Fury's weakness if he has one is his chin. Even though Fury will probably school Wilder the second time round, they know he's vulnerable and Wilder has a chance if he lands. Whereas with Whyte, he doesn't have that chance. Whyte will be all over him like a rash, he'll be in his face making it a nightmare for poor Deonkey. They felt the pain against Ortiz and they don't want to make the same mistake again. Whyte is younger, he has deadly body shots and he's a real handful. I have Whyte knocking Wilder out after a one-sided beatdown. Wilder, Haymon and the WBC don't want anymore of that and are happy to ride off into the sunset with their bum-fighting, moneygrabbing nonsense. They will make a mistake eventually and when they do they'll pay for it. That belt is going to AJ one way or another, whether they like it or not.
Not only that but Ortiz has been promised the Wilder fight. It seems Whyte will be lucky to get a shot at Wilder regardless if he wins multiple eliminaters.
So they want Whyte to fight Fury (a man who already beat Wilder) in a final eliminator to fight Wilder? Makes sense.
He will have to get in line. I found a wbc mandatory offer in my cereal box this morning, that makes at least 30 people that I know just from my local gym that have been offered a shot at Wilder. By rough calculation Whyte will get his shot by the time the universe experiences eternal heat death, but that's not guaranteed by any means.
Apologies you are quite right, I just checked the relevant scientific journals. Unfortunately I missed Professor Wilder's last seminar where the new vernacular was agreed upon.
