There is a story that a pal of Greb's a smaller fighter possibly a featherweight or lighter was beaten up by a huge bouncer in a saloon. A few days later the fighter, accompanied by Greb returned ,Greb already had his hands taped up and promptly went to work on the bouncer leaving him a bloody wreck on the floor.

The story of Greb beating up a guy in a bar comes from "Give Him to the Angels" by James Fair. Notoriously unreliable and filled with a ton of nonsense. Its at the beginning of chapter 2. I would put it in the category of "could have happened" but since it comes from such an unreliable, highly fictionalized source and several parts of this particular story dont ring true my guess is its fiction.
