Every once in a while it is important to remember those brave warriors who put it all on the line. Feel free to add anyone who comes to mind. Here are a couple less fortunate souls. Magomed Abdusalamov Gerald McClellan
I hate to sidetrack this thread, but "According to an article in The Observer, McClellan participated in dog fighting.[10][11] McClellan's trainer and family admitted that McClellan was involved with fighting pitbulls, and on one occasion had used tape to bind the jaws of a Labrador shut before allowing his pet pitbull "Deuce" to kill it." (Wikipedia)
Yeah, not good, if true. It wouldn't surprise me since so many of these guys come from such tough backgrounds. Nonetheless, this thread is in the spirit of those who have made great sacrifices to improve their lot in life while entertaining a sometimes rabid audience. It's a tough road regardless.
I remember the Colon fight. As I recall the ref was atrocious. Wasn't the other guy hitting him behind the head constantly and the ref didn't stop it?
Bad hematoma. Why the hell do they allow fights to go on when it is clear there is a hematoma forming? It doesn't matter how tough someone is. They need to stop it so they can fight another day.
Corners have to be looking out for their guys. Too many of these fights should have been stopped by a caring corner. Instead they only care about the future potential paydays.
