Larry Holmes vs Riddick Bowe

Larry,speedier and his jab dominates this.Bowe would be competitive all the way but Larry is just that bit better.

 

Great fight, Bowe would've been one of the toughest Holmes' opponents.

I think it goes the distance, both had pretty good chins and fantastic recovery. Bowe hit harder, but Holmes knew how to survive in dangerous situations

Bowe never had good defense. Tubbs showed us this too. Larry would likely win on points.

 

Holmes UD or TKO Holmes is the better fighter

 

Bowe had problems blocking and slipping shots but his inside counters were nice as hell. He was brilliant. I think he wins 5 or 6 rounds here in a 15 round tussle.

Bowe had pretty good power, but like the late great louis his knock outs came from phenomenal combination punching skills that and his confidence that his chin could withstand his opponents best shots so hes willing to take chances, which it did. Bowe did have a very good jab tho when he did throw it, but Holmes jab was quicker, and more accurate and I can't help but imagine Holmes frustrating Bowe the whole fight.

My bets on Holmes by u.d. if they fought at their best, but it would have been a competitive interesting fight to watch

 

Holmes by decision (maybe split). Bowe has enough power and skills to make Holmes fight his best. He’s too crafty and can hit just hard enough.
