Whoops, I was thinking Jofre there for a minute, had to re-do my post.

Rose was supposed to have been at his very best in that fight, certainly a more formidable opponent for the older, smaller Harada than faded versions of Morales and Barrera were for the younger Pac.

I have already heard one misguided poster make an arguement that he lost the first Jofre fight, something that you would be hard pressed to give to Jofre on points if you watched it in full.

In fact, its a much clearer decision than the one that Pac got in the second Marquez fight, so why not bring that up in your debate?

You are going largely off of what you have read, something that I have learned (even through this thread) is all too easily stated without even needing to give facts because of posters who will jump on it for their own agenda.

Again, I read from many sports writers that Marquez won the second fight but didn't get the decision. Is that conclusive enough for you? It is in the case of Harada, right?

Here's a little something for you:

122 wasn't even a weight class when Harada fought so proclaiming Pac's greatness for winning the 122 strap and trying to show that he should be held in higher esteem than Harada for it is like the idiots claiming Floyd Mayweather is better than Henry Armstrong because Mayweather won titles in 5 weight classes and Armstrong only in 3.

Secondly, had Pacquiao fought who everyone considered the best flyweight at the time, Mark Too Sharp Johnson, he would have been dominated and probably Ko'ed. If he was having trouble with the skills of Sasakul, he would have been utterly toyed with by the p4p rated Johnson. So even though Pac held the lineal title at 112, he didnt fight the recognised best fighter there. This is definitely not the case with Harada.

Thirdly, during Harada's time, the champ at 130 was Flash Elorde. If you think Pac could have gone to 130 in those days and beaten Elorde, you're delusional.

The Japanese judge (Masao Kato) had Harada beating Jofre, but judge Jay Edson (american, so, neutral) scored for Jofre. I'm pretty sure a brazilian judge would have scored the bout for Jofre as well.
Harada fought in his hometown with a Japanese judge and still got only a split decision. Most of ringsiders felt Jofre deserved the victory.

Look from what ive read Lionel Rose thought Harada was the best fighter he ever faced but he also said that he fealt he many flaws just like Pacman does.

All im saying is by beating someone like Jofre doesnt make him better just because of those two wins.

Im sure if people actually spent time and sat down and really took in what Pacman has done to guys like Ledwaba,Hussien,Julio,Solis etc he blew them away and they are all quality guys and we all say what he has done to MAB,EM and JMM which all visited the canvas on several occasions.

I feel alot of boxing fans really just argue because they dont like Pacmans fans which i feel is very unfair to Pacman himself as a fighter that gives us the big fights that we want to see.

And some on here still dont give him his props. I feel enough is enough. If your unhappy with Pacmans fans dont take anything away from Pacman i say look at his achievements and the way he fights and who he fight when he could quiet easy do what other top guys do and thats fight against the 7 or 8th best guy in there division for years.

You should look into how this thread was started before before arguing that this is an anti-Pac thread.

And I brought fair points to the table, which you didn't really adress.

Actually those five weightclasses that Floyd won was very much like Oscars...theyre not the original weight classes

I actually agree with the last paragraph..As much as I love Pac, Elorde will run circles around him..just too cagey..remember that this man Elorde defeated the great Sandy Saddler, Im afraid to say that Erik, MAB and JMM dont come close to Saddler. Flash also ruled the SFW title with an iron fist..a long long reign, longer than Pacs career lol.

Flash for me is a better version of Gerry P. IMHO if Jerry was 126/30 and younger he could have beaten Pacquaio based on style alone.

Gerry was one of those fighters that just never got his due

Spoken by someone that has no idea about what he is talking about. Harada's record is actually WORSE than it should be, not INFLATED.

He was robbed in Australia by Johnny Famechon and robbed by Pone Kingpetch in Thailand.

I've seen his fights with Jofre, Rudkin, Rose and every other fight you mentioned and every single decision he won was legitimate.

We know you're boxrecing and trying to fill in the gaps from the close cards that you notice, so why keep up the charade? Call it like it is.
