Upset in Germany today. Looks like it wasn't in the league which is silly because a belt was in the line and it was competitive on paper.

 

I was never much into The Wire the way other people were. I didn't think most of the principle characters were good and neither was the acting. Idris Elba as Stringer Bell was good. Michael K. Williams as Omar. Wood Harris as Avon Barksdale, and Felicia Pearson as Snoop were good but none of the cops got me. Isaiah Whitlock as Clay Davis was good too, but just have to reiterate the cops were ****.

 

The acting on The Wire is damn near flawless. The odd few times Elba and West let their English accent slip is probably the only gripe. Lestor, Bunk, Marlo, Prop Joe, Bubbles, Daniels...flawless acting. Also how could you say the characters weren't good?

I am biased over The Wire but the characters and the acting are two areas you can barely fault. Some of the minor characters, sure...but the main characters were casted perfectly and also acted out pretty much spot on, as McNulty would say.
