I've been following him.since his tornado kick KO on the English regional scene. Quickly became a detractor due his arrogance and taunting against severely overmatched opponents, even more so after several fights and years without a significant leap in competition. This one has been a long time coming and I knew it was on the cards as soon as this fight was announced.

As others have said, I knew this was a disaster for MVP as soon as the tournament was set. MVP is mostly smoke and mirrors, clever gimicks etc. while Lima is 100% legit: a BJJ black belt with good hands, improved TDD, and ruthless leg kicks. As a side note, it's pretty clear that Lima is going to roll through and win the tournament now, right? He came within a whisker of beating Rory the first time. Now Rory has found Jesus, while Lima has looked blood-thirsty against Koreshkov and MVP.
Yeah I think Rorys recent apparent downfall has been a combination of his new life and being a MMA pro since he was 16,he's been in so many wars like that Lawler fight it shouldn't have been a huge surprise. Before looking liked damaged goods against a totally shot Fitch,I thought Rory would end up beating Lima in the final and maybe he still will since i wasn't that impressed with Lima against MVP, in a fight which he was losing before he got the KO.
