i see it going the way of a lot of wilder fights wilder will do little early / biding his time /staying on the perimeter brezeale might win a few rounds on workrate even if nothing much lands wilder is obviously much quicker of hand and foot and will box cautiously ala ortiz/washington until a right hand he throws lands clean and he hurts or stuns brezeale from then on he will take over the fight. danger to wilder is he thinks he has brezeale more hurt than he is and brezeale is one of the few heavys that will fire back when hurt and wilder with his poor technique walks onto one when loading up with his haymakers. i pick wilder to win by mid round stoppage.
Breazeale has one attribute that Fury doesn't though in that he can actually punch pretty hard. He has the power to stop Wilder if he goes HAM early and tries to get to the Bronze Bomber early before he can land any of his big shots himself. It's a slim chance but with Wilder being a slower starter he has that. Still think Wilder KO's him in 7.
No not really.... mentioning 'cuts' was a metaphor for how much chance I think he has of winning. You know.... unlikely unless something out of the ordinary happens. My comment was nuanced and more of a joke than a serious observation. I'm actually pretty intrigued by this fight. I thought DB was solid against AJ until he opened up. That might be how things pan out against Wilder too: him looking decent until he presses the action....
this I noticed It aswell he to so much flush shots from aj without going down he finaly got stopped but the fact that he took them is a good sign AJ is bigger stronger and more skilled then donkey brezzy needs good game plan he has the toughness he needs to turn this into a street fight
I never really got this what makes you think brezzy hits very hard? Aj was not bothered from brezzy shots at all
fury hits hard he just doesn't sit down on his punches because he is always on his toes fury hits harder then brezzy
While he may not be the biggest puncher in the division or even close too it it's pretty evident he has decent power. 18KO's from 20 wins, fractured Mansour's jaw, stopped Molina faster than Wilder did, came back from being dropped to KO Ugonoh in the next round. So while his power may not be on the level of punchers like AJ, Wilder, Ortiz or even Whyte he has enough power in his shots to hurt most guys and that includes Wilder who we've seen rocked on more than one occasion.
fury hurt widler badly with a left hook in round 12 after being dropped fury stopped hammer something povetkin couldn't do.... fury has power no doubt
yes and it's not like Wilder doesn't present opportunities either,so far nobody has taken their chances when he falls over and is right there.Ever since Spilka looked good before getting sparked I keep expecting someone like Breazele to cause an upset? Wilder is so good at those late knockouts though which are no fluke.
Punchers chance although he could go deep or get to the cards. Wilder won't push too hard if he's winning the rounds.
