Why is David Haye criticized for pulling out of two Fury fights but Usyk doesn't get any criticism?

As per title, why does David Haye receive criticism for pulling out of two fights with Fury (with injury) but Usyk doesn't get any criticism for not fighting Takam?

From my point of view this is a blatant duck by Usyk, he wants no part of Carlos Takam.

If you're injured you're injured. I don't see why it would deserve criticism whoever the fighter is.

That's how I see it too, but a vast majority of people give Haye a lot of abuse for pulling out of both Fury fights.

Think with haye it was cause of the whole little toe thing. He certainly proved himself to be a warrior in the Bellew fight though.

Word got out to Haye that Fury was looking like Larry Holmes in sparring against Steve Cunningham so he quickly realised he was in over his head.
Haye had reason to pull out against Fury - a loss!

Usyk has no reason to pull out against Takum other than being injured. :icon_tfno:

Usyk doesn't have a long history of pulling out of fights while Haye does.

Bellew talking about Haye pulling out of fights.

This is the fourth fight that David has pulled out of in his last eight scheduled bouts. Once against Wladimir Klitschko, two against Tyson Fury and now me. He has torn some serious muscle groups in his body. Both biceps, his Achilles, his hamstring - what is going to go next?"

Are you saying that a credible heavyweight has no chance of beating Usyk at all? Also I'm sure Usyk has nothing to protect such as his record, reputation and his heavyweight title ambitions which Takam could spoil.

I wouldn't say usyk is ducking Takam. No disrespect to Takam but I think usyk would win every round better then AJ did. I guess we'll see who usyk is fighting next, how he performs and that will paint a picture. I believe Haye got stick as he was extremely unlikeable. Usyk is quite the opposite. However an injury is an injury. Haye was the boy who cried wolf.

Haye is an injury prone fighter surely any fighter be it De Mori, Bellew or Fury knows that when you have an upcoming fight with Haye there is a chance that Haye could get injured and pull out of the fight at any given time.

When discussing Haye's injury issues (especially in the two Fury fights) the criticism Haye gets isn't about his actual body/injury issues it's that he's a ''ducker'' and didn't want the Fury fight/s.

Wasn't it one of the reasons haye pulled out was because he got cut badly a week before the fight?

David Haye is criticized because he used a razor blade to cut his own face open, in order to get out of the fight with Fury.

Usyk on the other hand is genuinely injured through no fault of his own.

Not the first time a fighter has pulled out of a fight with a cut before, Mike Tyson famously did for example.

Do you have any proof of David purposefully cutting himself open, or are you being angry and bitter spewing out hate for Haye?

Haye had a history of pulling out of fights already while he was running his mouth constantlly. People already feared him pulling out again, and that's exactly what happened.
Now Fury is known for that himself too, so when he pulls out of another big fight people will be all over him too.

But for someone like Usyk that is known to fight anyone no matter what and in their backyard too, pulling out for the first time, that just seems like bad luck.
Now if he starts doing that regularly, like Haye, then people will criticize him just as much.

It was because Haye cancelled the fight date twice for the same fight which seems to have cost people a bit of money, plus the fact it was an exciting match up that many wanted to see. Also, I think he was criticised for hard sparring without a headguard in the final week or something like that, not sure how much truth was in this, but the narrative was that he'd been reckless.
