I’m actually glad to see this. It felt borderline ******ed to force Canelo to defend less than three months after his last fight

Actually I’ve just realised you’ve only got 150 posts in the 10years since you joined. That’s about 15 posts a year which works out at an average of 1.25 a month. You’ve already beaten that with the 2 that you’ve posted in this thread alone so you might want to slow down a bit and pace yourself. ;)

Well Bro i'd been involved in and around the sport for over 35 yrs I guess . It was my life both in and out of the ring. ive done just about all you can do over the years in the sport and loved every minute. BUT The sport has now become so corrupt I'm glad I'm not actively involved any more today I'm just a fan of how it used to be

look you know my views on Canelo but I can't see how you think he's getting a pass here.I mean the IBF go over the top with enforcing mandatory fights within days of winning the belt sometimes.
I hate the A side thing and weight clauses and obviously the nefarious scorecard in each fight but I actually feel Canelo had a right to be pissed off at the WBC when a certain Wilder gets pass after pass and Canelo had to fight GGG or drop the belt.
After Golovkin and Jacob's he could fight Steve Rolls for all I care and I wouldn't hold it against him lol

Smart business error by the IBF

They didn’t want to see their belt In the trash next to the WBC Huichol belt

Good news, didn't make sense Canelo fighting him, Chenko has nothing and is coming from a defeat from a fighter Canelo just beat

In my mind Canelo is where he is purely due to corruption.
He does not deserve to be called the world middleweight champion. Dont get me wrong the kid can fight but never did he ever beat GGG. Everyone really knows that

Right, I'd better slow down seeing as I'm way past my quota. :abduct:

Fair enough, unfortunately I think everything you hate has always been there, just comes with the territory of boxing. Everything's just so much more out in the open in this era. But I understand despite being pretty much unmoved by it myself.

Absolutely he's a breath of fresh air in that regard, sure he got Golovkin at the best ever time to face him but Golovkin at 36 is still a handful and in New York the results may of been different.
I'm puzzled how some posters think after beating Golovkin and Jacob's who beat Derevchenko that Canelo would be ducking him if he fought someone else lol.

Pretty sure they're bound to make an "error" like that again in the future. A class educations for the kids don't come cheap in the US... Ask aunt Becky.

I think he has 15k. I believe one day something was done to the boards that caused all of the members' post counts to double.

They said boxing was corrupt in the 50's with the mob fixing fights. I wasnt here then but Ive never heard anything so blatant as a fighter caught receiving an illegal excessive saline drip in his own home 24 hours before his world title defence. This was covered up until a reporter broke the story. Then panic set in. The procedure was illegal in the fact it was not given in a medical facility & excessive in the fact he received several times the max dose a medical facility would administer for serious dehydration. Add to that this also broke the State Commissions own rules BUT All the commission did was
issue a statement " The person involved did nothing wrong so we will not be investigating" LOL Then they granted him a retroactive TUE THREE WEEKS AFTER HE WAS CAUGHT!!! We all know who this was & why it was done
    I Rest My Case
