Well Hearn did say that Fury wanted four duff opponents when he was in talks with Fury.

Dillian Whyte is pay-per-view now as well.
His fights with Parker, Chisora rematch and now Rivas all been PPV in UK.

I think Tony Bellew's last 3 fights were all PPV too !

If these fights do okay at £20 a pop, it's only matter of time before the likes of Warren and Hearn will be ready to roll out what we consider a genuine PPV worthy fight (eg. Joshua v Fury) and test a new price bracket.

Yeah, but opponent #3 was pretty good, to be fair.
(Hearn also said he didn't believe Fury-Wilder was happening, remember.)

It's not even only the fact that this is a "duff opponent" in terms of quality (probably) though.
It's also a complete strange choice because Schwarz is completely unknown and has no selling point.
He's a German-looking German guy with a German style. It doesn't get more boring than that.
And it's happening in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA where his dullness will stand out even more so.

Let’s be fair, most of the country would pay 50 quid for that fight - if it did ever happen I could see this happening and the joint broadcast would be the reasoning behind it to justify it.

Tyson Fury better mention the war.
The holocaust of the gypsies even.
Maybe Arum could pay Schwarz extra to say something Nazi.
That's the only chance of making this interesting enough for PPV.

    I agree.
It would arguably be worth the money.
But once the £50 pay bracket is introduced, then the promoters and broadcasters will try to charge £50 for slightly lesser fights, and slightly lesser again, until £50 becomes the new standard.
That's exactly what's happened already with the £20 fights.

I'll be amazed - and pleasantly surprised - if they don't hike the price should a true mega fight like that materialize.

Yep, it seems like British PPV is heading the US way. Price gone up for actual PPV worthy fights, price for non worthy PPV's goes up right with it, but 10 to 15 lower.

I expect the crowd to start jeering and booing around rounds 4-5. People will start walking out by round 7/8.
