Does Tyson Fury's Career To Date Make Him A Hall Of Famer?

If Tyson Fury's career ends today would he be and does he deserve to be a Hall Of Famer?

I would say no but Ingemar Johansson is in the International Boxing Hall Of Fame and his career resume is unquestionably weaker than Fury's to date.

Johansson brutally destroyed the undefeated #1 contender Eddie Machen in 1 round and then went and KO'd the world champion Floyd Patterson in 3 rounds.
I'd say that's possibly slightly better than what Fury's done so far with the Wlad and Wilder fights.

Of course, it all went downhill for Johansson when he rematched Patterson, and I expect more from Fury. But as it stands, Fury's probably a shade behind.

I think Fury would probably get in anyway, if he retired as he is.

He needs more good wins. He was robbed against Wilder, beat old Wlad and beat Chisora. So far pretty thin resume.
He could have taken Wilder rematch, but declined to fight Swartz.

Beating Schwarz will certainly put him in there. Afterall, Schwarz is undefeated, so no need to say more actually.

Kind of depends on if the hof committee sees his layoff as a triumph of mental health (aka doing less coke) or a forced hiatus due to testing dirty for PEDs.

Lol this question is from a Brit right? Tyson Fury beat a washed up Wlad by running and only landing 86 punches in 12 rounds. Then he fought unskilled overrated Deontay Wilder and landed 84 punches in 12 rounds. Yep that clearly makes him a Hall of Famer. So Ross Purritty, Corrie Sanders, and Lamon Brewster should be Hall of Famers too. Since they all knocked out a prime Wladimir Klitschko.

I can see Fury as a HOF but first he must fight the best boxers in HWs.
    AJ/Whyte & Parker & so on.

    - Ended a reign of almost ten years on the heavyweight category (in a bitter fight but still a great performance).

    - Came back after three years of break dominating an undefeated champion with a record filled with KO. For 80% of observers he wins the fight.

    We saw worse like HoF.

I stated that I do not believe Fury should be in the Hall of Fame based on current resume.

However, I do feel Ingemar Johansson being in the International Boxing Hall Of Fame is an example of a boxer who had an inferior resume to Fury making it.

Vitaliti Klitschko also made the Hall of Fame without beating any Hall of Fame level opposition and lost by stoppage to his only Hall of Fame opponent. Fury's best win is head and shoulders above Vitali's best win. Infact, due to Vitali's poor quality title defences I can't even name his best win.

Am I seriously seeing people trying to make a case for entering the HOF off of practically two noteworthy wins?
