Keith looked a little rusty, but he was boxing as usual and was schooling Josesito until he got caught. The fact that Keith was badly hurt overshadowed all of the good that he did. I think I had him winning 8-4 or 7-5 but the round that he got rocked in was bad. Plus, Keith will get up for Pac and will come into the fight in the best training camp and shape of his life. As far as boxers go, Keith is a very intelligent guy. He knows what's at stake.
If he beats Pac, I'd say he's close to pre-sabbatical form. That Lopez fight just leaves a bad taste in my mouth (for now)
I missed some context but the level of vitriol still seems a little much for such a minor disagreement. I really can’t stand bullying intentional or otherwise. But yeh Kessler>GGG
Oh I for sure blew my top with extreme prejudice, but yeah if you look back I was minding my own business conversing with CST80 (who proffered what he believed to be a list of my favorites, which was damn close and just needed that one minor alteration) when mark decided to, in my view, very condescendingly chastise me for deferring Golovkin's place for Kessler...which is none of his business.
Yep, but I think a couple of factors play in here: 1) Thurman has always been a boxer, or at least a boxer-puncher, and somewhere along the way got typecast as some kind of KO machine which has really never been his game, although he does have good power & can hurt you with a nicely timed shot.. 2) Josésito kind of has that Luis Collazo vibe - in his prime he was tricky for any elite, and then his decline has been this long, gradual, very confusing period where he looks nowhere close to world class on an off night but can be as much of a pest as ever on a good night, or in a stylistically favorable match-up..
