The thing is his hit Hearns with a couple of right hand because Tommy liked to brawl and sacrifice defense for landing. He was too quick for Duran, but still those 2 rights hands didn't have to land. Tommy is a great fighter, I just think he gave his opponents like Duran even more than he had to.
I doubt it, and I am a massive floyd's fan. But prime Duran is not regular Duran, prime Duran is prime Durán. Maidaga brought hell to floyd, and it was maidana, prime Durán is better than 100 maidanas. would I put my money on floyd?mmm probably. But "embarrasses"? lol, no, I dont think so. A shot Durán, or a drunk durán or a not trained durán, well, probably. But a prime Durán? no way.
This. Who'd win between FlIVd and Duran? I have to say Duran because Duran fought some of the best at their best while I saw FlIVd beat a bunch of has beens, wanna beens and good but never greats so I have no idea how great he really was or wasn't. If he had fought a prime Pacman who was a buzzsaw cutting through everyone back in 2010 and beaten him convincingly we would've gotten a better picture. But he ducked so we`ll never know.
Given how Maidana and Castillo handled Mayweather in their first fight, I have no doubt a prime Duran would beat Mayweather. He's more skilled than the both of them and Duran's inside fighting would give Mayweather fits. If they have a rematch, I expect Mayweather to do better in the 2nd fight, but still not sure who would win. Mayweather always does better in rematches, but if Duran doesn't party and train properly, I'd pick him win a rematch as well.
Prime Duran isn't fighting at 147 or 154 either. So that was exactly my point. Using the Leonard and Benitez losses as a barometer with how Mayweather would fair against Duran just isn't going to cut it. A past prime Mayweather fighting outside of Super Feather would lose to these guys too.
Anyone can say whatever they want but speaking is a lot easier than doing. Nobody can break Floyd defence IMO.
Floyd doesn't like pressure fighters. I said on his best night he wins probably by stoppage, usually I expect Floyd to get the decision
