I have no problem with debating Loma over Inoue... I have a problem with some clown nitpicking the best to ever do it to prop up Loma. You're problem a new fan to the sport, just like him. Loma is absurdly overrated on Eastside, which is to be expected. This has historically been a forum that's worshipped Eastern Euros.
No, he isn't! Heck, he probably isn't even better than an old Rigo or even his leftover an old Nonito Donaire. An old Donaire scored a more brutal KO in his last fight than Inoue did. And we all saw how much Donaire got exposed in his prime against Lomachenko's leftover in Nicholas Walters. All in all, the division Inoue is fighting in, just isn't good enough and an old, washed up Donaire is going to be his first real credible opponent that has proven anything that is worth any amount of value at the top level. Just goes to show the lack of quality in that division and tournament that a washed up old leftover / has-been is a finalist. Again, that doesn't mean Inoue is bad or not skilled. Just that he hasn't proven much yet in the way of opposition. And as far skills go, let's not even get started. Lomachenko is leagues superior to Inoue.
Stop playing the ethno card, you made the thread in full knowledge of what discussion threads more bro.. Don't like Loma? Fine. But expect your favourites to be held to the same criticism as you hold him... Ye, all that aside.. Rodriguez's resume basically consists of Paul Butler lol & is probably Inoues best win... He's now going to fight an ancient version of a guy (Donaire) two Loma opponent's KOd & schooled! Walter's & Rigo... Loma made them quit! Barring that, he beat Narvaez etc who was about 40 yr old? Which for BWs is pensioner age.. Let that sink in before crowning Inoue over Loma...
Better than Loma no, but he's a scary fighter, the way he's just walking through people with his power is astonishing. I thought after the first round last night we might be in for a fight as Rodriguez was having some success but then he just moved up a gear and blew him away like he was brushing a fly away.
Let me put it this way: Inoue at 25 would beat Salido jumping up two weights 27yo Loma failed to handle with 300+ wins behind him, including 8 professional bouts (WSB included). And Inoue started boxing later in his life.
8 professional fights and 300 amateur that supposed to justify his unearned title shot? Yeah, Inoue is not quite as experienced as "legend GOAT unbeatable" Loma was at that point.
Dave Allen tweeted: "I'm fully on the Inoue train unbelievable. He's nearly 10 stone lighter than me but I wouldn't fancy a crack off him. I think if he hit anyone flush no matter how big you are you're going over." And we thought the Golovkin power hype got out of hand... That said if this was David Price I would of said fair enough!
