The objective view: Team AJ shamefully ducked this fight in 17/18. A period which included Wilder accepting a ridiculous lowball to fight in late 2018 but Hearn didn't send a date on the contract until public pressure was put on him, and he sent a date of April 2019!! Fury ducked the rematch but had massive balls to step up in the first place Wilder's team have now clearly planned the Breazeale, Ortiz and possibly Kownacki fights. AJ's team were finally beginning to make the right noises about wanting this fight (the difference in enthusiasm from Hearn speaks volumes) but reports are flooding in right now that there is a very strong sulphur smell emanating from Rob McCracken's house.......... (And Dean Whyte's)
I wonder what the narrative will be. It can’t be money any more because Fury and Joshua can offer him a lot more than anyone else. Yet he’s going to fight Ortiz...
Presumably the narrative will simply be that Joshua and Fury are ducking him. If all three aren't fighting each other then it boils down to who has the more believably explanations for why the fights aren't happening.
Similar to Brexit, the public have had enough of these greedy multi millionaire boxthers who simply want to feast on small, old, fat or non talented puddings. Full of bull and simply no excuses left for any of them.
McCracken has never spoke positively about fighting Wilder or Fury. I think Hearn definitely wants it now.
Doesn’t McCracken actually speak?! One of the reasons I like him more than most trainers, some try and hog the limelight or try and become mini sort of stars themselves. McCracken strikes me as the no nonsense, get the job done properly sort of guy.
I like McCracken. Done exceptionally well with AJ and Froch, who were both rough diamonds when Rob started working with them. However, I've noticed him brush off talk of Wilder or Fury several times with what's the rush type nonsense. Again, that's probably good coaching from him because he knows AJ has years on Wilder and Fury can go off the rails at any time. He wants to give his man the best opportunity to win those fights but he's definitely wary of Wilder and Fury. I suppose why wouldn't he be? No way is AJ more than 60% favourite in either of those fights. I could see AJ collapsing like Breazeale if one of Wilder's right hands lands flush and Fury is the best pure boxer of the three. They're all great matchups, AJ has the power to end any fight at any time as well and his boxing has come on leaps and bounds.
Ducktales WOOHOO! Wilder and Ortiz be ducking Joshua whoohoo (read/sing this in the songs voice/theme)
No coincidence he’s announced this week. He knows after Joshua goes through Ruiz the demand would have been forcing the unification.
