Someone mentioned Wilders left hook awhile back as the punch that dropped Washington but it was actually a straight right cross that hurt Washington.

Did you see Wilder after the fight? Zero interest in fighting Joshua, hell, he won’t even fight Whyte. Ortiz rematch will be next

With all that pressing, you don't really see anyone get inside and fight Wilder on the inside as much. They seem to always be at the end of that right.

Ortiz had success pressing him, but Wilder obviously doesn’t want to fight on the inside, so he resets and goes again. Other fighters have had some success doing it, (pressing that is) but honestly, you can’t expend the likes of Breazeale (no disrespect) to be effective. Povetkin would be really interesting. But as many have said before, there are only so many interesting matchups left in the heavyweight division at the top. Well, at least until a few prospects step up.

The problem is in boxing style makes fight. Also Wilder get caught in this fight in the very first round and looked hurt for a moment. And this is because of his ii***** windmill and terrible technique.
And some people should understand that some fighter are just not the same after 1 lose. You can compare AJ fighting undefeated fighter against Wilder fight a guy that already being KO badly.

Povetkin would've been a really good fight as he does like to press and get inside. You don't really see Wilder against very good low to the ground boxers such as Povetkin and thats because theres not many obviously.

It needs to be done early and as brutally as possible. Wilder looked good against Breazeale and now the chubby mexican needs to pay for it. #protectandy

Well, Breazeale got up in 10 and a half seconds, so I would say yes.
It was a great shot though.

True we haven't seen anyone really get inside on Wilder, they usually get stuck on the outside. But he's not fought many that had that style to be honest.

Stiverne is a counter puncher, despite his lack of height he's far more effective when opponents come to him, we saw that vs Arreola.

Duhaupas did try and press him behind that high guard but he never had the weapons or ability to get to him and even then he marked Wilder up.

Molina is a glorified journeymen he tried and did rock Wilder but he never had the tools to win.

Szpilka again not a natural presser, is more the boxer who likes to counter and so never really tried to press vs Wilder, just looked to dart in and out.

Arreola's style is to press and get close but he was shot by then.

Washington boxed Wilder, he never tried to press him, just jab him from range.

Ortiz again like Stiverne is a natural counter puncher, he isn't effective at pressing hence why Scott took him the distance.

Fury again boxed him from the outside.

Breazeale tried to press Wilder but quickly got caught and never got going.

So only Duhaupas, Molina, Arreola and Breazeale really tried to press him. Joshua is far better than all of them and isn't as easy to hit as any of them on the way in. Joshua has the better jab for one and might not even need to take the risks to get close that others usually do. I'm certain Joshua could out box Wilder as well as press him for the KO.

Not surprised wilder took him out early. Breazeale was tailor made for wilder.
