If glass jawed Szpilka can make it to the ninth round with Wilder then I'm sure durable Breazeale will last at least as long. Oh wait...

AJ needs to KO Ruiz or at least dominant winning all rounds beating him up.

 

Ruiz is far far superior to Konwacki and would best him 7 days a week. Makes no difference as long as AJ wins. He softened up Breazeale for Wilder in 7. Regardless the Brezeale comparison is irrelevant if AJ beats Wilder isn’t it?

 

ruiz is horrible.

 

Big power fighters always look amazing until the right boxer neutralizes them. Poor Breazeale was not the guy to make Willder look bad.

 

Deontay's far too quick for Joshua. One of those wild windmills will find it's target eventually and then it's light outs. Please stay in the UK with those football hooligans Anthony, I really don't want to see the devastating bronze bomber tear you apart! Lol.

He is up there.

However, I wouldn't rank him top for pure destruction. Its the combination of speed, length, intuition and whatever else that makes Wilder's power scary for his opponents.

I would say someone like Curtis 'Hatchetman' Sheppard is at the same level of power, but he is not near the level of application.

Boxers such as Foreman have the power and better application than Wilder.

 

Many could have taken it.

Every puncher, however formidable, comes up against somebody who can take their power eventually.

Wilder is coming to rely too heavily upon his power, and that only ends one way.

My main concern with making that statement now, is that he hasn't been in against many top ten guys yet.

The top ten guys that he has fought are Stiverne (first time), Ortiz, and Fury, and two of the three lasted the distance.

So for now I will do what I usually do with active fighters, and wait.

 

Hope so, and the winner against Fury in 2020.

 

Not terrified , but he might overthink the situation knowing he can't make a single mistake and that can put a drain on the resources. He'll have to be fully focused for every second of the fight. Not many guys could fight Wilder as relaxed as Fury did.
It would probably be Joshua's best bet to try and get rid of Wilder early since he hasn't great stamina and Wilder carries power late.

Thats going to be some fight when/if it happens.
