Very interesting match up to think about. With the way Inoue has just been blowing through Bantamweight at the moment, it's hard to see him losing in the imagination. However, Orlando was a proven longtime champion with an elite skillset and a good beard. That being said, his competition level did not live up to his abilities at all. And Inoue has only had 3 Bantam bouts, against admittedly very good opposition. If Canizales had better wins, I would probably favour him at the moment. I tentatively pick Inoue in a competitive bout.
I think Inoue is right now P4P the best. Still even with that, he is so young in his career. We haven't seen his chin tested or go through any adversity. Not a knock on him, its just we don't know yet and we shouldn't give attributes to fighters that we haven't observed in the ring. Even though I'm close to seeing him as being an ATG already we should wait. What I can say though is that Inoue's offense would trouble anyone in history at 118. His precision and power are amazing and he hasn't even had 20 fights. He is like a more fluid polished version of GGG and Michael Carbajal. Canizales was in there with some really good fighters Junior Jones, Vazquez all guys who could really bang. Plus he fought all the way up to 126 and wasn't stopped.
I can personally ask him when I see him, I been going to his gym for year's here in Laredo, but sadly he only vists one or twice a year lol
I tell you what, Inoue is looking beast like. Canizales is more proven but I'd bet on Inoue with only modest hesitation
