That was as emphatic a victory as you could get without ironing him out. Boxed his head off and made him miss ‘nearly’ all night. He was proper wobbled in the 6th by a shot but held it together and resumed usual service. Very one sided.
I think we all could have predicted exactly this pre fight. Billy Joe is a great fighter don’t get me wrong but it’s ridiculous that the WBO can sanction such a fight for a world title. A man who’s never fought at the weight and the 6th best super middle in Germany contesting it.
I was there last night and shocked at how few tickets had been sold, gaping holes in the floor seats and well as in the stands, well over half of the stadium was shut off. Maybe 3k max
The WBSS ticket sales in Glasgow was very poor considering the card - the arena was at least 30% empty but could have been closer to 40%.
I would say it was about 30% empty max there was still a very good crowd there I reckon there was atleast 8k. Probably the best it’s been for a Taylor fight, sadly he just doesn’t get the same numbers as Ricky burns due to being from Edinburgh but if he keeps performing the way he has done it will only improve.
Papers are reporting 7,000 in attendance. Presumably that’s rounding it to the nearest thousand. I thought there was a fair bit more than that but that’s a pretty disappointing turn out for fights of that calibre.
