In terms of excitement and unpredictability Wiler is easily top 3. If given an option to watch only one fight on the night, I'd pick him over Crawford, GGG, Loma, Canelo, Usyk etc...with the bombsquad you know there is going to be drama and someone hitting the canvas. A lot better than the Klit boring era! Anyone who says otherwise is a POS
You’re a POS. Just because the Klitschkos broke your ***** heart for years and were so dominant over your boys at heavyweight doesn’t make them boring. They were just THAT GOOD. Lol And Vitali was VERY exciting and often stood his ground and traded.
The problem boxing has is not due to the fighters. Its the corruption that is rampant in the sport. Its got to be so bad they dont even try to hide it any more. $$$$$$ talks
Lol why would there need to be a once in a generation fighter to come a long to destroy Wilder? Any half way decent heavyweight would destroy him. The heavyweight division is horrible. Joshua is just as unskilled as Wilder and Fury is even worse. You think Fury running and throwing walking arm punches is skilled. Also Rocky Marciano had way less skills than Wilder. Also also Jack Lamotta was a 25 year old guy sleeping with a 14 year old girl who he abused. Which makes him a worse person than Wilder.
DW's opponents get hit clean because he is pretty quick on the trigger and not afraid to commit to his punches. He's a tad faster than the guys he's been fighting. Very unorthodox and awkward. Not technically sound, but effective. 41 fights with 40 ko's. At minimum, he knows how to land his power shots.
It's thriving.. Amazing depth. Amazing talent right the way through the divisions. It's just a lot more international nowadays.. Which is healthier. Problem is politics & money, not quality!
Boxing generally is in a great state. But I agree on wilder this man has a chance to pot shot and one punch his was to being undisputed whilst being and awfull boxer and awfull person. It is annoying and frustrating but I don't believe it's due to lack of talent as such, there are plenty of fighters who could beat wilder but his power is so freakish it would have given a chance against any HW is history. Fury and AJ may not be the best ever but they are certainly better boxers than wilder yet they could be k.o by switching off for one moment. Fury has already proven this. But it would have been the same for any other HW is history. They are all human, all have chins and all could be hit once in 12 rounds. So whilst wilder is annoying and we wish someone would just chin him to put an end to him unfortunately he only needs to land once and it's almost inevitable he will do so with 12 rounds.
Boxing seems pretty dead in the UK post Hatton Calzaghe and Froch. AJ is just a hyped bum Seems pretty dead in USA too And in Mexico post JMM Morales and MAB (the roided cement gloved cowardly belt dropping weight bullying ginger slag doesn't count) It's thriving in Russian countries, but those guys - even a one off like Loma or a Tyson crushing KO machine like Beterbiev - don't get a look in outside of hardcore fans
Talk about wearing your emotions on your sleeve. You're bitter as hell dude. Since when has a boxer delivering sensational knockouts been back for the sport? Marciano was always describe as crude but is celebrated to this day. Its really effed up how the public treats Wilder. Spence gets a raw deal too. He barely even gets mentioned in p4p talk. Can't ignore these guys forever. Tank is on his was too.
This. Some people are ridiculous. Wilder’s hand speed and timing with his right hand is actually really good. His only problem is when you neutralize his right hand, since he tends to run out of ideas, but that said if he were as bad as everyone is saying somebody would’ve beaten him a long time ago. It isn’t Wilder’s fault that Breazeale fought him like an idiot and left himself wide open. Also, people seem to forget that this is the same Breazeale that Joshua was landing check hook after check hook on like he was putting in work on a heavybag. You can’t leave your chin wide open like that against a puncher and not expect them to load up and finish you. Also, since you mentioned Wilder’s style my trainer, who’s sparred and trained a ton of fighters and even worked with both Wilder and Breazeale when they were at our gym many years ago compared Wilder’s power to Ron Lyle’s, who was an old sparring partner of his and Wilder’s style to Monte Munn’s, who wasn’t a talented boxer, but was built similar to Wilder and also had a brutal right hand.
