This comparison is really bad. Wilder's game is based on his athleticism while Klitschko used his top level skills to stay on top for so long.

In fact, yes, I agree. Initially I thought that the ref waved it off because he didn't like how Breazeale was standing up, but having rewatched the fight it become obvious that Breazeale just didn't beat the count indeed.

Both really hard punches. Fortunately wasnt on the receiving end of them so couldnt say which was harder. A big difference I think was that Breazeale was at that time already there for the taking and has lost some resistance due to taking many clean shots in other fights

Possibly. What has that to do with anything? All fights are different. Fury uses alot of skill which is why he looked the winner to many against Wilder

Wlad's punch was a well-timed and well-placed shot. Unfortunately, he was too old to either finish him off, or even keep the pace going.

Wilder's punch was unworldly power. Yes, well-timed and set up with a jab, but the only other place this power level exists is in Marvel comic books.

One thing I have recognised in both of Wilder's last 2 fights; Fury (x2) and Breazeale have got back up from devastating KD's. I can only say they both must have been very mentally strong and were absolutely determined not to get knocked out that night.

    Dempsey had actual skills.

    Deonkey does not.

Good footwork isn't something you would associate with Wilder , but he's pretty well balanced on the backfoot and can line-up and strike a long 1-2 from good range.

Power is good to have but you need to be able to connect it flush on the opponents head. Its almost a certainty Wilder will land his power at this stage.

I'd hazard a guess that Wlads power was somewhat equal to Wilders.

I'm still trying to remember who Breazeale beat to get a title shot.

Remember that this is the WIlder that a part time boxer, part time cokehead named Fury schooled for 10 out of 12 rounds.

Damn right it is and I'll laugh my socks off he upsets their greed driven plans.
Usyk after his last fight said he didn't dream of becoming champion since it's his job, rather he dreams that everyone can be nice to each other. He's more of a real fighter than any of those guys, respectful and not greed driven.

Folk don't like it cause he's torn up the rule book, technically he's not a great boxer but does it matter when you can land that huge shot over twelve rounds as he always does?
Same 're Joshua at what point are folk gonna admit that both these guys are great heavyweights as to my knowledge none have been sparked out like previous greats like Lennox or Wlad.

    Lots of reasons.

    Underestimating Wilder's speed and accuracy

Overestimating their punch resistence or underestimating his power

    Underestimating Wilder's ability to finish

I quote Iron Mike "Everyone has a plan till they get punched in the face"

Johann Duhaupas already walked through similar Wilder shots with ease.

Mariusz Wach would've eaten them for breakfast, no problem.

It's debatable if someone like Oliver Mccall would've even noticed or even felt that punch that much.

Jarrell Miller would be taking those punches, no problem either.

Knocking out a glass-jawed Breazeale, really doesn't impress me that much.
