I think the reverse...87-88 Tyson stops Foreman, too fast, accurate and elusive combined with top shelf HW punching power and granite chin. Early 90's Tyson had these attributes minus the elusiveness and defense. The reason I really didn't mention Tyson at first is because if Foreman turned pro in 89, chances are, he'd have missed Tyson before Tyson went to prison. And if events still played out like they did in 95-97 for Tyson, his license would have been suspended after the Holyfield ear biting debacle and Foreman would have been the clear favorite over 98-2005 Tyson. I think that 93-99 Holyfield may have been as strong as any version of young Foreman. Sure, George was naturally bigger and likely naturally stronger, but between roids and weight lifting, Holyfield would have evened the score in terms of raw strength. Plus, Holyfield and Tyson had iron chins and Tyson had top shelf power as well and superior speed to Foreman. Lewis, if he had Tyson's or Holyfield's chin I'd always pick him to beat Foreman. Lewis problem is he could potentially be taken out in 1 punch.
We know that as a minimum he would have been a unified HW champion, because he actually achieved that despite being 20 years past his best. The guys who beat him, Holyfield, Morrison and Briggs, simply would not have done so had they fought a prime version. I imagine he'd have been a dominant champion, perhaps coming unstuck against someone like Byrd who fought a smart defensive fight. He would definitely do better than the old version of him did.

Well, young Foreman wasn't as good a boxer as old Foreman. By that I mean, older Foreman had better overall boxing skills. Young Foreman would have made errors that old Foreman wouldn't have which would give me pause in outright picking him over prime time Holyfield. I'll give you Morrison and Briggs.
Shot Jones had better fundamentals than prime Jones but he was inherently an overall inferior fighter. Same as George
