If this happens that's another 6 months of Wilder's career pretty much wasted, if he wants to avoid Fury and AJ then even Whyte would be a decent fight for him.

If it happens then same result only earlier and more one sided, Deontay has improved and Ortiz has just gotten older.

Yep. Let’s see Kownacki-Ortiz or Joyce-Ortiz instead, that way Kownacki and Joyce can add some legitimacy to their claims at a title shot if they win. Wilder, Joshua, and Fury should set their sights on facing each other first, and then the winner of Whyte-Rivas if that doesn’t work out(which I’ll assume it won’t but who knows).

Seriously what is the point. Go and fight Parker or Whyte if you want to avoid the top guys. Ortiz could be the body Wilder wants. His nearly dead anyway.

Ortiz showed in last fight without peds he is too old to fight long term. Fury washed wilder. The fight is Fury vs AJ let’s get to it already

Ortiz hasn't gotten any better, he's just 2 years older and this time I think Wilder finishes him off in more convincing fashion leaving Ortiz wondering why he turned down $7 mill to fight AJ to fight Wilder for $1-2 mill.

I think Ortiz will give Wilder a good fight. Wilder will be scared to get close early because Ortiz has punching power. I do not look for Wilder to fight Ortiz again. Ortiz had Wilder out on his feet. I think Wilder knocks him out again but Ortiz has a punchers chance. And while the fight lasts Ortiz will be ahead on the cards again.

Ortiz looked old and fat. No need for a re-match here, why not fight Hrgovic, Joyce, or Ajagba? A win here will make Wilder's resume look very good 5 years from now, but to take this fight means a loss.

    Yes, he can hit.

I’d go with Wilder by KO, Ortiz doesn’t look the same after that loss and time is not on his side

Not a fan of this aye? Lol

Well he's still the biggest threat that he will fight out of Kownacki and Martin.

i think his time has passed could be interesting though , considering Ortiz made a lot of mistakes the first fight and really luck was on Wilder s shoulers, but Wilder won't be weighing 210, .he's really lucky he's not 0 and 2 with Ority and Fury.

Ortiz at 49 vs Wilder now? Just like a Kownacki fight but Ortiz does pose legit threat since he's a collective and competent boxer , these guys are always missing something , with Ortiz it's age and predictability in set ups.

Ortiz looks pretty shot the last couple of fights tbh so I could see it go a bit like Stiverne 2..

If Wilder doesn't fight Joshua next, then Ortiz or Fury would be the next best thing.

No Kownacki please. We already seen the Breazeale fight.

    Great KO by Wilder.
However, is t just me, or does he still look like he's living on borrowed time? Got staggered a little by Breazeale in that first round after he thought he had him and got caught. Same with Ortiz. I just get the impression one flush punch from a decent heavyweight with power (AJ for e.g) and it's all over.
