Wilder gets it done quicker. I think Ortiz finally looked his age against Hammer and that's not a good sign for him.

Wilder dumbness is a good thing for him; he goes in guns blazing thinking he's not gonna get tagged and then he can deliver his big right. However he was seriously hurt against Ortiz. Once he gets more cautious he will loose his edge , he will loose when he tries to box someone and not commiting 100% on his shots. However he has great power, has a mean streak and usually sometime in the 12 rounds will land a bomb also he has some grit because he doesn't fold directly when he gets hit. Even against breazealle he got wobbled by a counter and i see him hurt quite a few times

This. The last thing Ortiz needed was another 18 month aging from their last fight.

Honestly I find this rematch to be bogus. Ortiz is worse than when Wilder beat him the first time... why in the world would anyone think he would do better after his chins been cracked, hes even older, and hes actually begun to show the signs of decline.

Boring matchup and a waste of time.

No mystery about it, Ortiz knows why he turned down a once in a lifetime opportunity for a career high payday that would set him up for life. The fight was relatively short notice and he was in the middle of a PED cycle when offered it, absolutely no chance of passing the VADA testing.

Yeah it's better than some of the other fights out there for Wilder and you couldn't completely count Ortiz out but yeah his chances certainly diminish. If none of the big fights get made I suppose it's fine considering its far from the worst option out there but who honestly wants to see it? I'd honestly would rather Wilder/Kownacki because even if he poses less problems than Ortiz and has horrid defense it's still a fresh face and a younger and hungrier guy.

    Another crap fight.

    Anything but fight AJ.

Just talk **** and fight easy guys as usual. DW only fought Fury because he was so out of shape.

And you guys are going to 'oohh' and 'ahhh' when Wilder lays him out with the right hand.

.... blah blah ... hardest puncher in history .... blah ... blah

Did Ortiz beat a good fighter ever? Isn't his best win is Jennings? Or 45 year old Thompson

What I find most funny about this fight is that a year or so ago the Wilderete narrative was AJ was ducking Wilder to potentially rehash fights with Whyte, Parker etc yet here we are in the present where Wilder has turned down 120 million for rehashed Ortiz fight!! They still won't see the irony tho!

The fight will need to be in Ortiz's care home. He's not allowed out these days - just too risky at his age. And he broke a hip while running away screaming when Joshua offered him a fight.

Also Saturday night could be difficult because that's the oldies' bingo night.

Wilder by brutal KO, it’s not like Ortiz has got in a time machine and gone back 20 years to when he was 30.
