Paulie's lost it totally raving away like Daffy Duck on crack Coupled with that hat LOL He just made an ass of himself
In my opinion Paulie is having breakdown. He wanted a mega money McGregor fight in Ireland but instead he is fighting Artem Lobov in a bare knuckle contest for £7.50 and the winner gets a whippet. The reality has finally sunk in, McGregor did a Number on Paulie mentally and poor old Paulies cheese has slid off its cracker.
After all this behaviour, the spitting, will Sky Sports Boxing ever have him back on Air? He is a total embarrassment not only to himself but anybody associated with him.
Paulie has been having a breakdown since the Diaz fights. He’s always been an embarrassment. After the broner fiasco I don’t know how showtime kept him on the air. He’s an emotional whiny little hater weasel and he’s making it hard for me to root against the ufc guy. I’ve backed Paulie up before. I thought he’d outclass mcgregor pretty easily in a 12 round boxing match assuming he had a good full camp to prepare. I still hope the boxer beats the ufc guy but Paulie...man just shut up. For real.
You can tell Paulie genuinely hates the McGregor crew. They have lit a fire under him and I think Lobov is going to pay the price, Paulie is going to beat the brakes off him, it won't be pretty.
Like others have said, I wish Paulie would get a grip. He's one of the few fighters to end up with a great gig after his fight career. I don't know what Showtime pays him to commentate but I'm confident its enough to live on if he's managing his expenses. Why jeopardize that with this type of behavior. With is knowledge and charisma he could mature into an elder statesmen of the sport sort of like Chael and Michael Bisping have transitioned into for MMA. But instead Paulie somehow got dragged into a pissing contest with Conor McGregor. He came unglued at that point and still hasn't settled down since. I miss when Paulie used to divide his time between speaking righteous truth and brilliantly trolling anyone within two weight classes up or down from him in weight. Does anyone else remember how badly he owned a then up and coming Keith Thurman after Thurman had gone the full route with Jan Zeveck? Paulie tied poor Thurman into a pretzel with his trash talk at the press conference. That's the Paulie I want to remember, not..whatever this is.
I think that if Paulie knocks out Lobov the McGregor fight is inevitable. The pair of them and Hearn have already held talks about the fight it would do massive numbers. I'm just not sure about the contractual complexities of having McGregor fight on DAZN, not sure if it's even plausible. Would probably end up being a standalone PPV.
