To a degree - I concur...After the separation wilder walked up some momentum (as they weren’t ‘engaged’) as Breazeale was slow to reset, and used it to blast him....but both feet were fully planted and he really whipped that straight right in a classic style as if hitting a heavy bag. His back foot still comes round a bit more than most, but it was a beautiful power shot and the timing was good too. It wasn’t telegraphed like those run-up homerun swings of yore.
Wilder's power is exceptional and he keeps it throughout the fight. However, he will be ko'd in time. The " tweet tweet I taught I saw a putty tat" kind of ko. He has too many flaws and a weak chin. It is going to happen. Remember he fought people like Washington and Szpilka (sp?) and did not look so hot. Fury won the fight even with the two knock downs. Breazeale was made for a puncher. Breazeale's strategy was "I'm gonna block your punches with my face." A well rounded boxer is going to take his lunch money. Then in the rematch he will lose his lunch money again. Then gate keeper status or retirement.
He has said this about Lyle, Cooney and, yes, Savarese. I believe he also hinted at it about Holyfield. He never said it about Morrison, tho.
You have to take what Big George says with a grain of salt. He has said some outlandish things in the past.
Lots of butthurtness in here. I guess its therapeutic for some to read other people's comments denying that Wilder has unique power. You guys are in here just dismissing this man's power. It's hysterical.
