Hughie has be one of the most boring HWs of all time to watch.

If you want to turn someone off boxing just make them watch Hughie vs Parker on a loop.

It says on the card that Michael Hennessy is making his debut on the card. I assume he's Mick's son?

No that is Mick himself - he has seen all those pay per puddings and this is a tune up fight for an O2 clash with Pudding Whyte

Pretty much the most accurate thing ever posted here.

'But Hughie fighting on Channel 5 is a good thing for getting casual fans back into the sport.' Not a chance, it will just remind them how many fights are borefests and why they stopped watching in the first place.

You honestly think Casuals wanna watch Hughie Fury, firstly most will not ever know who he is, secondly Mick Hennessey awful promoter could not sell a free pissup in a brewery most people will not even know this fight is happening and thirdly Hughie is 1 of the worst boxers to watch for casuals in the UK, even fans who appreciate the fine art get fed up of his tippy tappy counters that could not knock the skin of a rice pudding

Hughie on Channel 5 gets ostensibly decent viewing figures because anyone with a television can watch him, and if you're sat in front of the box when he's on the competition will be Piers Morgan's Life Stories, QI and Casualty. They could chuck any sport on and it would do alright.

But his fights are terrible, and as an advert for the sport they're no good.

Lol this has just turned into a Hughie Fury hate thread...listen no-one is forcing you to watch his fights, I can appreciate the styles of all fighters..and I couldn't care less about 'casuals' watching it or viewing figures!

Hughie will probably knock him out, easy money to be made at the bookies, definitely going to stick a few quid down.
