He has to ditch has dad and trainer in order to save his career and move up the HW ladder. Ditching Peter was hard but Tyson realized this was the way. It will be harder but this is what Hughie has to do as well. Peter has gotten both into lots of **** and despite some high moments has stalled their careers with pullouts and other shenanigans. Who here agrees and if so who would you recommend as a suitable replacement for Hughie?

I agree and why should it have it be less than amicable?certainly worth a shot as his careers at stake it's that critical.
You know I think he's regressed if anything, not telling me we all got him so wrong.I think he suffered some bad cuts in a few fights and mentally it effected him,add to this his losses and I think he wasn't mentally able to cope.

Against Pulev it was like he'd forgotten the basics?

I would probably disagree. Peter rolled the dice twice with Parker and Pulev in a to early scenario. In truth Peter probably wants to win the fights more then Hughie does which is good bc any other trainer that lets up on him isn't going to really get the best Hughie who seems , IDK in a fog at times ?

Peter knows best when Hughie would be ready , the pull outs may have saved him from a K.O, no one knows who's not in camp, the same goes for Tyson and I know Peter was nervous on that Klitschko rematch, he himself said Fury has to be another level next time.

What Peter has to stop telling him is he can knockout Joshua , etc. And start from the ground up again and we'll see what's what.

    In this type of situation , I don't think it's a good move .

This. Can’t really blame Peter. As long as Peter wants Hughie to be successful more than Hughie himself I don’t see Hughie ever winning whenever he steps up. Hughie just doesn’t seem to want to reach the top that badly. Against both Parker and Pulev he looked like he was just going through the motions.

He needs to learn how to throw real punches. These guys that train with Tyson over long periods think they are also 6'9 and 85 inch reach who can get away with it. Even Nathan Gorman started doing it and will get pummeled if he fights DDD like that .

Peter himself knows this bc he's the one that has trained him his entire life. his system is score a point , run away out of range but against most top guys you need more then that and physical ability plays a part , how he excluded it for 20 years is beyond me , but he is a real trainer other then having his 6'6 son rely on just footwork to win fights .

No way bro, usually I agree with your views but Big Peter Fury is essential. Hughie is a reserved quiet guy, he needs an enforcer in his team who will stop any bull**** and shenanigans like he did in Germany when Wlad tried to play with the ring.

yes I forgot to mention that, folk hate on Hearn but he knows what he's doing and does right by his fighters so in Whites case after Joshua and with a repaired shoulder he needed fights to rebuild in both senses of the word, took him four fights before he could throw the left with intentions.
Fury has nothing to prove in the bravery department. He needs to turn his social media off and start fighting frequently against opponents he's expected to beat and learn how to keep his head out of the way of clashes and do the basics well and more importantly get some confidence from winning.

Lol if Tyson,Wilder and Joshua are fine taking on 80/20 opponents, then I'm sure Hughie can do the same without anyone pressuring the lad into stepping up.

Tyson lands enough clean punches with at least a little oomph to them.

Hughie treats a fight like a schoolboy trying to get through class to the final bell without doing any work. He fusses and fidgets and keeps the clock running. He occasionally tries to touch his opponent with a glove, but probably 20 percent of what he ‘throws’ could actually be classified as punches.

Now might be the worst time to leave Peter, since Peter just worked out that the style he personally installed in Hughie is horrible, ineffective at top level and the wise old uncle downright hates it! Then again, Hughie could reflect on that, realise his father is a fraud, and then give Ben Davison a call. Just being in the same gym as Tyson and having regular access to the best sparring would benefit him more than his current situation.

Hughie reminds me a bit of a HW version of Malignaggi stylistically, but passive and timid. Tap, tap, tap, run. Its as though he feels bad for hitting hhis opponent. I dont think Hughie has that nasty bit of spite to be a prize fighter.
