Ikram Kerwat vs. Simone Aparecida Da Silva, 10x2" rounds @ featherweight

 

The dumb FB stream isn't letting me rewind the live video to watch the few rounds I missed (kicking myself for not just checking FB in the first place, instead of scouring the rest of the net when my original plan was foiled) so I'm just going to wait until they end it (whereupon theoretically we should be able to rewind and play from any point like a regular video) and score the full thing in one go later.

However, my general impression so far tuning in around the halfway mark is that

UD for Da Silva

 

Alright, here we go... first bell at 7:30 in the above video.

 

Round 1

Da Silva is stalking, high guard, showing a rower's oar jab. Kerwat jumps in flurrying, they clinch, and Da Silva muscles her off and spins her away in a show of raw strength. They jab together and Kerwat is caught in a headlock. 1-2 by Kerwat, first picked off when she throws upstairs, then grazing when she dives in and goes for the midriff. Kerwat doing lots of twitching, feinting and posing in front of Da Silva. Uppercut on the love handle by Kerwat and they engage in mutually sloppy flurries in & out of a clinch.

The person recording the video is making fun of Da Silva, pointing out her defensive flaws and saying her striking is going to be full of holes because she comes from an MMA background..

 

Round 2

Da Silva is slashing in with looping rights & left hooks and Kerwat tries meeting her in the middle of the ring with a couple of straight pot shots but is quickly backed up. Da Silva is rolling fist over fist as she charges in and clangs the inner fold of her knuckle padding against either temple. Body shots by Da Silva once she gets inside. Kerwat has little answer, neither moving nor countering in a timely enough fashion. Kerwat throws Da Silva into a headlock. Desperate jab and no-look overhand right falling in by Kerwat, getting a little overanxious. Da Silva is able to casually pump the brakes and make her miss and then perform a power shot drum-roll on the back of the head.

Round 3

Da Silva is throwing vicious body combos on her way in, digging hard between the brassiere and trunks of Kerwat with underhanded two-pieces. Nasty jab and looping right on the face as well as Kerwat lowers her guard at mid-range. Kerwat now shelling up, bowing forward, elbows over her crotch, face behind her gloves and wrists, moving forward in jittery motions and trying with a 1-2 but just shooting it over Da Silva's rolling shoulders. Da Silva in a rhythm now, jabbing the body hard as she darts in and out while circling to her right. Kerwat looks very frustrated. Desperate lashing right hand by Kerwat.
