Ortiz, Fury and...Kownacki, and...Joyce, and uh...Hunter, and..who else? Oh yeah, forgot to mention the binman down the street. Are we at 50-0 yet? What? No? He must face another 3 bums and then, and only then.......can he retire with a 50-0 record intact having faced the best fighters in the division WITHOUT QUESTION - Shelly Finkel, 2019 And also, considering that news comes from the Sun...it's very difficult to take that seriously.
I don't believe him. He's the winkle who cried wolf too many times. They know they are under pressure from the boxing world so they feel if they say they are on the case of trying to make the fight hopefully people will get off their backs. I remember last year finkel claimed to be in deep negotiations yet when the other side was asked they said finkel had not been in touch since the last lowball career high pay day was rejected. Finkel also said he's talking to skipper all the time, to be honest since he said that I've been waiting for a DAZN statement to say finkel is on radio silence and there has been no contact since they walked out of the 100-120 Mill offer.
Think it’s to stop himself being sued when Wildwr realises what PBC and Winkle have done. Can atleast sat they met DAZN
Deontay's a very busy man, he ain't got time for the bodybuilder at this very moment. Come back to the negotiation table, when Joshua's been brutally starched out, and all those shiny belts aren't in his possession. Lol.
I don’t see AJ in any hurry to make the fight. After the Burrito defense, he’ll probably dine on some other soft food.
He cleared out the division whilst Wilder is fighting guys like Breazeale lmao Remind me why he's never attempted to unify before? How about Joshua makes 5 defences in a row now vs non-top 10 guys like Deontay did? Let that sink in for a bit
1. I somehow thought AJ fought Breazeale, too. And Eric Molina, lol. 2. Wilder fought the lineal champ. AJ hasn’t. Wilder fought Ortiz. AJ hasn’t. 3. Neither AJ nor Wilder nor Fury have cleaned out the division until one of them has beaten the other two. Enjoy the AJ-Burrito fight.
Wilder cherry picked his opponents, until he fights a live, game fighter like Dillian Whyte or AJ who are young and dangerous then I won't be holding Wilder in such high regard. AJ has fought tougher opposition.
Ortiz and Wilder, two guys who have been offered the Joshua fight and two guys who turned it down. The only reason we haven't seen Ortiz vs Joshua or a unification is because those fighters declined it. Nothing more to be said on that. Enjoy Wilder vs Old Man 2, Wilder vs Kownacki and Wilder vs Stiverne 3
And AJ has turned down Wilder, who called his $50M bluff. Also Wilder’s team proposed to accept whatever split AJ offered Wilder as long as it was reversed in the rematch if Wilder wins the first fight ... and that elicited crickets from Eddie/AJ. So far Eddie’s offers aren’t for one fight ... he wants to lock anyone who fights AJ on Dazn and that has been a no-go. If AJ wants to fight Wilder (questionable, as on an on-camera interview a couple of years ago said he wasn’t ready and would need more experience, pointing then to 2019 ... so he has stuck to that plan so far) the offer made needs to be for one fight — fair purse split — with no options on future fights. AJ hasn’t tried to make a fight with Fury.
Why has Wilder just negotiated a fight with Ortiz without even talking to Hearn/AJ? Surely if this is the fight he really wants (as he keeps saying) then he would at least sit down at the table with them The whole thing is very bizarre
Wilder lost to Fury who wanted 60% to fight Joshua which is a duck ,the same ducking Wilder is doing but Wilder isn't as smart about it .lol Molina was a replacement for Wlad even in 2016 ,where was Wilder you ask ? He was busy preparing for the great Szpilka of course. lol Easy to claim no ones cleaned up the divison when the other guys bark but wont bite.
