Yes, his victories over Derek Chisora and 40 year old Wlad showed his greatness. He also beat hmm.. oh Steve Caningham. Also old.
A shame Fury got robbed, not just of the title but the status of one of the ''greatest boxing comebacks of all time''. Couldn't believe it when he got up, was so crazy.
Who has Usyk beaten to show his greatness? Tony Bellew and Breidis? Lol. Wlad, Cunningham and Chisora are all much better wins, not to mention Wilder where he was unlucky to not get the W. Thanks for proving my point.
Jesus Christ, Usyk has no advantages of Fury. Why do people think he can win that. He could outbox AJ/Wilder potentially because he has better skills and engine. But Fury has skills, engine, plus massive size, reach advantages and more power too. Fury is cautious against punchers but against a Usyk he will be far more aggressive, it won't look like the Wilder fight.
Usyk beat Gassiev, Briedis, Huck, Glowatsky, Hunter and Bellew. It's much better the C minus Chisora, old lethargic Wlad and old B level USS.
Who said that he needs to KO them to win? He can box circles around them and get a UD. Tyson Fury didn't have the KO power to beat Klitschko, he didn't have the KO power to beat Wilder.. but he did.
Even Chisora is better than any name on that list minus maybe Huck who was old and shot. Funny how nobody was calling Wlad old before Fury beat him.
I hear what you're saying, and with regards the peds thing I'm pretty sure Bowe was on them too. but about Usyk I have watched the fights you speak of but he seems to me to need to hit a dude a heap of times to beat him, and I just think those punches will not be hard enough to stop a top heavyweight before they catch him with bigger punches back.
To clean up at HW, Usyk would need to beat at least two out of AJ, Wilder and Fury and that won't be easy, as good as Oleksandr is. If he did that giving away height, weight and power disadvantages and held the titles a while beating some of the best contenders, imo Usyk would have a good claim to be among the top 10-15 HW's ever.
