Hrgovic believes he beats both Joshua and Wilder right now, and Fury is the toughest fight for him.

You don't fight every 8 weeks for a variety of reasons, but after a 1st round KO, I agree, line up him a vs decent opponent in August.

@ the 6:30 mark. Funny stuff. He didn't come prepared, he was fat, he was slow, ( on Wilder's last opponent )

Any puncher does. That's common sense.

Here's how lost you are , you probably think Fury defeats Wilder in a rematch right ? The reality is that fight will always be 50/50 if they fought enough you would have different out comes based on boxer and puncher.

With two punchers you get a more sporadic outcome and no one with sense can pick Breazeale after this one bc he's showing he doesn't follow instructions well but that doesn't make it an out of reach fight for him in a puncher s chance should he one day . But I guess it's to advanced for you to grasp this !

I also said Wilder had a greater chance of winning at a weight closer to 225 , what was his weight again ?

Yea I have no sense whatsoever , and my posts on this thread shows it ?

I agree with CST80. Hrgovic clearly has some talent and he punches hard and accurately. I like that economical style. However, he also looks a bit stiff and like he's thinking about his next move. He needs a few more decent opponents before throwing down with the top guys.

Challenger almost always fight the champions harder, so.Areola knocking out a then less experienced Molina has nothing to do with nothing.

No one has ever defeated Martin in such a way Joshua has and Kownacki is a top guy .

Martin has proven to be difficult with top guys , Hrgovic merits are based on common sense that I'm lacking apparently which is a extensive amateur background with great IQ at 6'6 now at 240 who will.pose problems and Kownacki getting smashed doesn't matter bc that's not Hrgovic who is by far better fighter.

Not saying he can't eventually become a top player in he division. But you and a lot of other posters really let your low opinion of Wilder cloud your judgment. He's not that easy to beat, hence why no one has been able to decisively beat him as of yet, and no, not even Fury. I can't stand AJ, but here's the catch, I picked Wlad, Parker and Povetkin to beat him, they're all beyond proven guys at the top level. But there's little to no chance I'd pick someone like Ruiz to pull the upset or Rivas, probably not even Ortiz. Because that would just be silly. Well all of them are far more proven than Hrgovic. Sure he stopped Corbin, but thus far, the only guy that Corbin has shared the ring with that's worthwhile is Martin, who he repeatedly nailed in the balls, because he was trying to survive and stave off an eventual KO loss. Hunter's victory on the same card, was far more impressive IMO.

Great, I agree, Filip is solid, but pump the brakes a little, the only people beating AJ, Fury and Wilder, is a special fighter, and thus far, Hrgovic is good, but not great, he needs some more time to tweak his flaws, and genuinely see if he can take a punch, because thus far, we've never seen his chin genuinely tested.

It's not my logic so it doesn't matter where it goes. You're preaching to the converted here..

Yes Donkey will smash that PBC Polesbury doughboy Kownacki to bits but so will Hrgovic who would also smash everyone Donkey's fought too.

Jorge de Jesus Romero who was one of the commentators last night on DAZN in Spanish and is also a boxer that trains with Pedro Díaz said Hrgovic were toying with his sparring partners, that he was on another level and that they called him El Animal for a good reason

That's a measured approach. Pedal to the metal for me. When I first saw Wlad win the gold medal at age 20, I felt he would be the world champion one day. People laughed. Senior boxing people I know called me crazy. These days they remember it. My opinion of Hrgovic is the same after his Olympics. Nothing has changed for me since.

Did you pick Povetkin at his age and Parker over AJ? Wow. Other way around for me and most others.

I only picked against Wilder once, and it was Ortiz who if he was 2-3 years younger would have had him.

Wilder has elite level power and length that's it. It bails him out. He can't box, and I think he's below average in terms of taking a punch. Hrgovic would beat him right now. Has Wilder even beaten a top 5 opponent in his prime? No. He's a cherry picker who wants an even older Ortiz again.

As for Ruiz or Rivas being more " Proven " I am going to say no, so please clear your mind before you judge. Hrgoivc has sparred with and done better against top talent including Haye, who he iced, and Wlidler himself. Also Wlad, though I do not know the results of the sparring between the two. Did Ruiz or Rivas prove better? No. They have only beaten marginally better fighters in the ring, and seldom looked as good as Hrigovic has. If you want to compare amateur experience between the three, it's Hrgovic all the way by a mile. Hrgovic has been boxing since 13. The guys got the eye of the tiger and the work ethic of a spartan warrior, to complement his ideal physical gifts. Is he a little stiff? Yes, but he moves very well. In fact he has rare foot speed for a heavyweight. That is the key, and he takes a great punch, that is also the key. Vitali was stiff, but he was a mobile target. AJ is stiff, big men are seldom doing backflips / gymnastics, but if you watch the clips from the last fight he is flexible, and can bend at the body to quickly straight body shots or hooks. This is key.

On AJ I like him, except when he rule bends the moment things are tough for him. Fury seems like a worthy champion as well, but neither of them is 26. Last night we saw the future and I think the future is now. If I'm Hrgovic management, I start calling out Wilder and angle for a fight in 2020. See the funny part of clip at the 6:30 mark. That's calling a guy out, and he did it in a funny way. Wilder vs Hrgovic won't happen, I suspect he'll cash out vs. Joshua and get drilled. That's what the economics say of boxing say.

At first I did not like the El Animal nickname, but considering it came from his trainer, I'm okay with it. Based near me, I want to see Hrgovic spar live. Diaz has improved his guard habits, but needs to work on a counter hook with the left. As we saw last night, he has the right hook down pat and doesn't need a lot of room to generate power with it. Those really short punches up close with power are very dangerous. You don't have time to react to them, or see them coming sometimes.

LOL, calm down...I like Hrgovic but he is still a bit stiff and rather slow, he doesn’t look like a defensive master and we don‘t know how he would react getting hit by a puncher like Wilder.

Don‘t get overzealous, his time will come eventually but he is not ready at the moment, give him at least 5 more fights against better opposition.
