Hrgovic believes he beats both Joshua and Wilder right now, and Fury is the toughest fight for him.

Rather slow. Nope. Which heavyweight is a defensive master today? I thought so, but he could use a little work on defense. If you watch his fights, the defense is okay; he usually gets hit on counters, otherwise, his opponent is mostly defensive and on the run. If you throw a lot of punches, you get countered more. It just how the game works. Sugar Ray Robinson, seen as boxing #1 pound for pound all timer got hit a lot for the same reason.

There comes a point where all top talents start to really believe and surge forward. We are seeing it now.

I know he's got a top chin because I've seen him get hit hard by big men. He went to war and stopped the guy ( Nestor ) who stopped Joshua in the Amateurs, getting hit hard along the way. He doesn't stop trying to win, clinch hard or anything of the sort. He always has his legs and he fight back. He has never been floored or hurt in all his am matches. Plenty of guys he fought can punch there too.

He'll likely get 3-4 more fights before a title shot, but that partially because I can not see Wilder giving him a shot. Fury maybe.

Yeah Wilder could hit, but he couldn't stop Fury, who I highly doubt has a Hrgovic level chin. Wilder stopped Ortiz because the old man gassed. Wilder is getting a lot of press for a perfectly placed punch ( Maybe his best as a pro ) but the guy he beat wasn't durable and had limited to no defense.

He is slow compared to Wilder, maybe not compared to other fighters his size.

His defense was ok against the level of opposition he fought as a pro but he is there to be hit, he is not a negative spoiler like Fury who still got knocked down 2 times and could only get up by the help of god.

Yes, he did great in the amateurs but it‘s still the amateurs, he didn‘t show enough in his professional fights to beat either Joshua, Wilder or Fury but it‘s not his fault, as far as i‘m concerned he is still a prospect, a very good one but he definitely needs more time.

Hrgovic has Joy Joyce problems before he could even think of Joshua / Wilder / Fury

He's just promoting himself, this was his US debut. It looks like he'll be fighting in the US on DAZN from now on. He needs to build up his profile.

I agree too. He has some good momentum going on, he should capitalize on it.

Each person is different and develops differently, Hopkins was world champion at 50 y.o. Mike Tyson at 38 was getting knocked out by Kevin McBride

Correct There is a huge difference between a 20-year-old and a 27-year-old man. If anything this fight showed a very young Hrgovic's intangibles. He has improved many times over since this match.

While this is true you have to remember Joyce started boxing late in terms of experience they were probably at a similar level at the time and while Hrgovic has no doubt matured and gotten better so has Joyce.

Joyce back then wasn't the decorated amateur he was later on in his am career, that same year in the World's Joyce went out in the first round while Hrgovic got to the quarter finals, so it's not like Hrgovic was some young inexperienced amateur against a seasoned amateur. Both were pretty green.

Though having said that I wouldn't make Joyce a big favourite over Hrgovic if they fought now, in fact I might favour Hrgovic.
