Billy Joe Saunders would give Canelo the worst boxing lesson he had or could ever have

I think the only theory why fans, whom I’d assume are primarily Brits (of Saunders) simply like his banter talk because it’s a miss in the UK sector. Kind of like arguing with UFC fans about fighters and saying “well the Octagon is hard..” etc..

The only proven Brits are Fury, Joshua, when it comes to owning up on words.

Another theory is that BJS’ fans swear of his Olympic pedigree. If BJS fought Eubank Jr. in his second pro fight the traveler would’ve been stopped and not strong enough to last 12 rounds as Loma did against Salido.

Casuals that like BJS that just saw BJs fight a no-name corrupt WBO opportunity in Shefat dont know SAB if they think his performance is even remotely close to Canelo.

I don’t understand the BJs hype. I think Josh Kelly and Taylor are better fighters, more entertaining fighters. I guess BJS beating Eubank Jr. and the banter talk still resonates with the traveler fans.

BJS is a B level fighter. Julius Indongo had two belts... whoopdeedo

He gave Lemieux the worst defeat of his career - worse in many ways than the Golovkin fight (less physically brutal but more embarrassing).

He's unbeaten and apart from the odd self-inflicted stupid performance, no one has come close to beating him.

And no version of Eubank Jr beats Saunders. Not yesterday, not today, not tomorrow

Monroe Jr. won 4 rounds outboxing Monroe Jr. Eubank Jr. won 4 rounds against BJS.

Lemieux was already outboxed long ago by Alcine and stopped by Rubio. Lemieux has been having trouble to make 160 in the last 3 years and in one instance had to cancel a fight just like BJS though Warren of course didn’t non disclose the reasons for cancellations.

Basically this. BJS just said last month he can still make 160 and plans to fight there or if the fight makes sense...

Whichever way one translates that it means BJS missed a great payday against Andrade and the opportunity to reclaim his belt even though it was mandated.

Then of course if you say his last fight against Shefat he looks utter horrid in performance though his fans are in denial about it or DKSAB.

Peter Quillin’s almost KO’d Andy Lee in the 1st round... amid Chocolate is a B level fighter with no IQ to finish... makes sense why Jacobs beat him rather easily

Eubank Jr won 4 rounds at the arse end of the fight when Saunders was beyond gassed.

In the first 6 rounds he didn't land a shot

BJS vs Andy Lee was a timid chess match standoff no different than the Monroe Jr. bout. Canelo is a superior counterpuncher than both Lee and BJS. Canelo actually accumulates points and doesn’t just dance standing with a high guard waiting to swing like BJs. Not hard for a judge to score. With BJs’s Last performance deprived of whatever enhancer he was taking before doesn’t beat GGG, Andrade, Jacobs... let alone Canelo.

It’s not normal for an “elite level” fighter in BJS to have moved to 168 and looked so horrid in performance...UKAD got him good.. Hearn is a boss! That must have affected BJs here forward with ability and confidence

One of the best fights that can be made at mw a couple of years ago i would have picked bjs to beat canelo but bjs has been too inactive and his level of comp hasn't been good enough to beat him now. It will still be a close fight but canelo edges him now.

Canelo been in with better fighters. BJS has never fought an elite level counter puncher. Who has BJS fought who’s an elite level counter puncher? Andy Lee? Lee’s right hook once upon a time was a menace but that was late 2000’s at best.

Styles make fights. Canelo fought Lara and Trout at an early age whom are significantly more skilled than BJS.

I’ve watched enough boxing and the politics, but when fighters do drug testing more early on than they normally do, or do it with a star, or do it on USA soil so many dynamics are at play.

Canelo had low traces of Clen 78 days away and the fight was cancelled. He then did 120 days with GGG 2 rematch and inevitably just did 360. Since then Canelo looks even better than ever before. This is why supplement contamination is a big thing which was Canelo’s foul and GBP just used a meat story but wasn’t intentional.

Whereas compare to BJS’ career, he has looked soft to chizzeled and has had up and downs with his fights at 160. He then does a whole year + of cancellations. Pops dirty against Andrade. Fights at 178lbs, then fights at 168lbs. Looks horrible ever since his Oxylofrine scandal...

It’s obvious that no longer with Ingle or those “aka Ariza shakes” BJs is a different fighter.

This is why Canelo easily beats BJs.

The Saunders fans just need to let go of being in denial and watch elite level counterpunching. Jacobs hits even harder than Saunders. Jacobs beats Saunders

BJS will never be the same again. He was a Gypsie that got caught in the limelight of boxing but didn’t take the repercussions of using PEDS and then performing after. It’s obvious

I agree, he looked sensational vs Lemieux but never seems to chase the big fights, like its easier to beat lesser fighters and crow about how awesome you are but it takes balls to be great.

Oh, come on CS; why not be gracious, not grudging, about his agreeing to a point you made years ago? It was a great shout by you...and he concurs. Pretty harmless stuff and a compliment to your opinion from years back. I agree with you both btw--he'd give Canelo fits

How many rounds does BJS need to win to get a decision though mate? It's a horrible match up for him as we know that Canelo is very 'judge friendly' in the way he fights.

I dont see bjs winning even with fair judging at this point. He wasted too many prime years imo which is a shame be he is very talented.

    LOL.
Saunders resume sucks. His best win is Eubank with his second win being either a narrow win against Lee or his win over Lemieux. Does anyone think Canelo would struggle with ANY of those guys?

Andre Berto, Adrien Broner... guys like that looked slick and elite against lower competition, but when they went in against top tier they looked a LOT different. Saunders hasn't faced top tier yet.
