It's possible. A few years ago I'd have said not (and BJS agrees with me) but Saunders on form is hot news and GGG is slower than he was. I guess it comes down to whether BJS can deal with the Golovkin jab and how well BJS can stick and move.
Is this the same Oxylofrine Saunders that told Eubank Jr. that Golovkin would beat both of them on the same night? Gypsies going full reeetard. lol
Yes BC, he is hot news and G is past his prime. I'm quite confident BJS ud's him this stage. G's got that Jab that keeps him in the fight, but after the jab Saunders avoids everything else
Saunders was hurt and staggered by Shefat. Shefat doesn’t have any elite level Ring IQ nor even knows how to cut off the ring. GGG at 168 is a Hulk. BJS gets stopped in 6rds
This older GGG (Past 5-ish years) relies on the pressure game or fighting up close to win. BJS will likely not go toe-to-toe too much, and he's smart enough to escape GGG's pressure tactics. I think BJS wins a fairly comfortable points decision, 8-4. If this was the prime GGG we never saw however...then that's a different story. That young, fast prime version of GGG that we didn't see at the elite level gives any pro middleweight in history a tough night and beats BJS by a close but clear decision.
But again, Lemieux is not elite level at cutting off the ring. Andy Lee didn’t push forward and took BJS to a 12 round chessmatch. He looked great in round 3 and that’s it. BJS was being chased by Shefat who is utter garbage just watch the fight. The guy is clueless and was most likely placed there by the WBO by design working with Warren as they do with Arum. GGG would close the ring on BJS as he did against Jacobs.
Not necessarily , when the fight was viable , Frank accepted the offer and Billy signed the contract , twice. As for how the fight would go , if GG couldn't cut cement footed Canelo off ,how would he cut the ring off against Billy?
