One thing is for certain, in my opinion anyway, and that is, Kelly Pavlik will be able to jab with Kessler. He might get the better of the jabbing contest as well. That wouldn't surprise me.

I think it would be a very close fight. For me, either Pavlik wins via TKO/KO or Kessler wins via decision.

if i was devising a stratergy for kelly in this fight my advice would be to try and walk through kessler/let his hands go and keep busy.

i would not advise pavlik to box a technical fight from range and try and match jabs.

both fighters mirror each other a lot .

Pavlik is a great guy and I like his style in and out of the ring. But Kessler will be the victor if they ever got it together. I think Abraham would take Pavlik to a split decision and it's 50/50 on who would win that? When/if Kessler defeats Pavlik maybe America will recognise that the term Euro bum is no longer just.

Go tell that to AA who has just fought with a broken jaw and broken rib. Better yet tell it JC who just sodomized the baddest muthafuka from ur neck of the woods. Americans shouldn't take credit for the accomplishments of other races just because they reside in their country.:hi:

Don't punch me, but I think Kessler is overrated :)

Actually now I'm doing the same as all of those who think that AA is. To be honest, I don't know Kessler good enough. I'll watch some of his fights at the weekend...

    KESSLER vs MIRANDA!!!!!

There are a few people in this that keep repeating this.

If you are one of these listen up for once....:

Kessler's team wanted Miranda recognised as the top opponent for Kessler first so that they could make the fight for a belt. As such, the team lobbied the WBA and surprise suprise Miranda got ranked as top contender in the next rankings about 10 days after Miranda's offer. Kessler having worked hard to get Miranda ranked now made his team a better offer. Only to find that suddenly Miranda didn't want any of it.

This is what happened - look it up. Please remember that and stop repeating a wrong story.

Well, I think it is like this:

    Speed: Kessler
    Technique: Kessler
    Power: Even
    One punch KO power: Pavlik
    Workrate: Even
Chin: Even (as far as I have seen both have very solid chins)
    Timing: Kessler
Injury prone: Pavlik (meaning that Pavlik has an advantage here)

So I wouldn't say in every other department. For my money it is a very even fight and like the Calzaghe fight may well be decided on where it is held. Kessler will never get discouraged in front of a home crowd like he did against Calzaghe, but who knows what will happen if the fight is in the US. Kessler may deal with it well like he did against Mundine, but I think it will trouble the one that has to travel by some 5-10%. Question is if anyone of them is 5-10% better than the other to afford travelling. Kessler was not 10% better than Calzaghe and got discouraged when things got too even. Not counting where it is held I have this fight very even.

If they were to fight tomorrow, Pavlik would win.

LOL. Do I hear you say "if they fought a year ago Kessler would win, if they fight tomorrow Pavlik would win and if they fight in a year Kessler wins"?

Is it the whole 'hand operation, first defeat, new trainer etc.' thing that makes you say "if they fought tomorrow"?

I'm pretty sure Pavlik might win tomorrow, considering Kessler is probably tired.

Id take Kessler at the minute. He has enough about him to hurt Pavlik and withstand punishment.
